As announced the other day, Morrowind is going to Beta shortly. We are excited to announce that we have worked in partnership with ZeniMax to secure beta keys for all of our active authors! This is not a contest! If you are an AddOn author that hosts with us and you have been keeping your AddOns current, you are eligible for a key!

Addresses will be sent to ZeniMax on 12 April 2017. While it is potentially possible that they may accept addresses after that date, there is no guarantee. Make sure you don't miss out. Sign up now!

Rules:
  • You must have an active Elder Scrolls Online account.
  • You must be an addon author with one or more files on the site that are current to 2.7.x ("Hello world" or its equivalent do not count).
  • You must include your Elder Scrolls Online email address. (It will be sent to ZeniMax so your account can be flagged for beta).
  • Do not upload addons that are not your own. Anyone caught uploading someone else's work will be banned from the site. All AddOns submitted are manually checked.
  • ZeniMax, Bethesda and ESOUI reserve the right to deny anyone access.
  • Account must be registered before April 6th 2017.

We're just two months away from the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, and we're hard at work polishing ESO's new chapter! Read on to learn the details about ESO: Morrowind on our Public Test Server.

We're excited to announce that The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is coming to our Public Test Server in just a couple weeks! However, this time we're doing things a bit differently, and we will be holding a closed beta for ESO: Morrowind. While everyone will be able to help test the base game content on the PTS, any content included in ESO: Morrowind will be invite-only. In addition, everyone logging onto the PTS will be required to agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) upon login.

Feedback is extremely important to us, and we greatly appreciate and value the feedback everyone has provided to us over the years. With that said, participation in previous PTS cycles is a major factor when choosing invitees for this and future ZOS beta events. If you're chosen to help us test, you will receive an email and be invited to a private forum area where you can discuss your experiences with other players and provide feedback. The closed beta will allow you to experience the entirety of ESO: Morrowind and Update 14, including:
  • The brand new story and zone, Vvardenfell
  • The new PvP game mode Battlegrounds
  • The new Warden class
  • The new Trial, the Halls of Fabrication
We'll make sure to post the PTS Patch Notes in a public area so everyone can read about the upcoming features and improvements. We look forward to welcoming some of our most dedicated players to Vvardenfell very soon, and we can't wait to see your feedback!

As some of you may have heard, CloudFlare had a leak yesterday. We just want to reassure everyone that we are aware of the fact and that while we do use them, we do not appear to have been impacted in any way. This is what they sent to us:

While we resolved the bug within hours of it being reported to us, there was an ongoing risk that some of our customers' sensitive information would still be available through third party caches, such as the Google search cache.

Over the last week, we've worked with these caches to discover what customers may have had sensitive information exposed and ensure that the caches are purged. We waited to disclose the bug publicly until after these caches could be cleared in order to mitigate the ability of malicious individuals to exploit any exposed data.

In our review of these third party caches, we discovered exposed data on approximately 150 of Cloudflare's customers across our Free, Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans. We have reached out to these customers directly to provide them with a copy of the data that was exposed, help them understand its impact, and help them mitigate that impact.

Your domain is not one of the domains where we have discovered exposed data in any third party caches. The bug has been patched so it is no longer leaking data. However, we continue to work with these caches to review their records and help them purge any exposed data we find. If we discover any data leaked about your domains during this search, we will reach out to you directly and provide you full details of what we have found.

To date, we have yet to find any instance of the bug being exploited, but we recommend if you are concerned that you invalidate and reissue any persistent secrets, such as long lived session identifiers, tokens or keys. Due to the nature of the bug, customer SSL keys were not exposed and do not need to be rotated.

Again, if we discover new information that impacts you, we will reach out to you directly. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please donít hesitate to reach out.

OVERVIEW

Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online v2.7.5, featuring Homestead! This free update introduces our player housing system with 39 uniquely-themed homes you can acquire throughout Tamriel. With over 2,000 individual decorative and furniture options, plus Furnishing Crafting, you’ll have a lot of options available to make your home truly yours.

In addition to this massive new system, we’ve also added Master Crafting Writs, four new Motifs, and updated several sources of itemization in Cyrodiil and the Imperial City, all of which are detailed below. You’ll also find that we’ve put a focus on improving the balance across all classes and skills.

As always, we’ve made several fixes and improvements to all previously DLC game packs and the base game patch. We can’t wait to have you play our latest update, which is approximately 3.36GB in size. Thanks, and enjoy!

UI

General
  • Crafting Motifs now have their own section in the Lore Library, visible upon obtaining Eidetic Memory from Shalidor.
  • Made several modifications to the Guild Trader UI:
    • Added options to search for furniture and furniture recipes.
    • Searches will no longer clear when you go to a different guild trader.
    • Added a keybind for “Reset Search".
  • Added a Furniture section to your inventory.
  • Fixed an issue where Inventory and Gold amounts would appear twice in the vendor UI.
  • You will no longer hear a sound similar to coins fumbling around if you fail to enter an instance because it is full.
  • Updated the error message when attempting to link an ESO account to a second Steam account.
  • Attempting to use the "Get Me Unstuck" option twice within an hour will once again display the correct amount of time remaining until you can next use it, instead of displaying 0 seconds.
  • Fixed an issue where the Join Queue button could get disabled when it should be enabled.
  • The Lore Library subcategory for the Order of the Hour motif is now named “Order Hour” instead of “Hour Order”.
  • Fixed an issue where the stack size reported for items sold in the Guild Store would be incorrect if it was too large.
  • You can now rotate your character in the Inventory and Collections screens.
  • Fixed an issue where item names in the Gem Extraction UI could occasionally turn blue.
  • Fixed a UI error that could occur when clicking on an achievement at the same time as earning a different achievement.
  • Unbound keys within the keyboard UI will no longer display their gamepad replacements.
  • Fixed an issue where the message for leaving a dueling area could continue to appear after the duel ended.
  • Achievement progress now refreshes correctly when viewing them as they update.
  • Fixed an issue where item tooltips could incorrectly reflect the quantity of that item you actually have.
  • Fixed an issue where zone chat would not display correctly while on certain quest stages.
  • Fixed an issue that could occur when setting keybindings, where you would receive an error that a key was already bound to an action, without the error specifying which action.
  • Updated the maintenance times in the Customer Support window.
    • Note: At this time, this change is only reflected in the English game client. We’ll be updating French and German in a future incremental patch.
Alliance War
  • Fixed an issue where your FPS and Latency would not display while controlling a siege weapon.
  • Fixed an issue where the indicator for how many friends you have assigned to a campaign was occasionally inaccurate.
Collections
  • Collectibles now correctly display a tooltip as you are looting them.
  • Fixed an issue where a looted collectible would appear twice in the loot history.
Crafting
  • Fixed an issue where the right-click menu would occasionally not appear while using a crafting station near other dueling player characters.
  • Items will no longer have an option convert to Imperial style if it is impossible to be converted.
Crown Store
  • Fixed an issue where previewing a mount in the Crown Store would not consistently work.
Gamepad Mode
  • Fixed an issue where gamepad keybinds would show up in the Crown Crate UI when Gamepad Mode was not enabled.
  • Fixed an issue with the Quest Journal where the text would not fade in/out correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where the quickslot UI would display an incorrect item count for non-stackable items.
  • Fixed an issue where the Crown Store would not correctly refresh when a product was removed from the store.
  • Fixed an issue when trying to dye all items where the slots indicating which channel was being targeted for dyeing would not glow.
  • Fixed an issue where some options could become inadvertently disabled.
  • Fixed an issue where the list of abilities that can be assigned to the action bar would shift up and down when selecting different slots.
Gameplay
  • Added a text alert when attempting to use a weapon skill without the correct weapon type equipped.
  • Fixed an issue where the dueling countdown could freeze when a quest has recently been granted.
  • Duel results now immediately interrupt the countdown if you lose or forfeit the duel before it begins.
  • Fixed an issue where icons on the ability bar would flicker when you ran low on resources.
Maps
  • Updated several city and zone maps to account for various homes available in Homestead.
  • Updated the map key to include the group leader icon.
Subtitles
  • Fixed an issue where subtitles would occasionally display the text color incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue with subtitles where possessives would use a capital “S” rather than a lowercase “s”.

OK, I've been going a bit crazy the last 48 hours. I just pushed Scholar 1.1.0, which actually starts adding unique features! So far, not much new... but two things were added in this release. First, I've added notification support for timer completion. Notifications are configurable and can be displayed through a message in chat, or through the standard center screen notification text. Additionally, I've added a new slash command. Now, typing /scholar timers will toggle visibility of all active timers! I also fixed a few bugs (most notably, me forgetting to change a version number... sorry to anyone who couldn't actually update today). This isn't as polished as I'd like it to be, but I REALLY wanted to get it out there and get some community feedback... and I'm actually not going to be around too much tomorrow morning/early afternoon. So... if you find any issues with this release, let me know!

Scholar 1.0.0 has just been submitted for review!

I've been personally using Scholar for around a week, and I'm now comfortable enough to call it version 1.0.0! This update fixes a minor string bug, and adds a new stable timer module. The stable timer inherits most settings from the general research timers, but colors are individually configurable to allow you to tell, at a glance, which is which. Enjoy, and let me know if there's anything else you want to see!
