Votan's Settings Menu  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.5.9
by: votan [More]
DependenciesDescription
This add-on is for the add-ons themself.
It introduces the following to toggle directly to the add-on settings menu of LAM2:
  • main menu button
  • key-bind
  • slash-command (/addonsettings)
It remembers and opens the last used add-on settings page even after /reloadui or relog, if using the button or key-bind.
Assuming you want to change the settings of the add-on, opened last time, anyway and do not need to seek it again.
Inspired by the main menu button of FCO ItemSaver from Beartram. This is a generic version of it.

On the settings page of this add-on itself you can:
  • Turn on/off the main menu button
  • See the current Lua memory usage. The warning-symbol is shown at 4x start usage.
  • See the versions of libraries coming along with the add-ons you currently use. May a useful additional information, if you report bugs due to add-on conflicts. <= Done with built-in Addon Manager. More details with Votan's Addon List.
  • show client CPU architecture (x32 or x64) <= There is one only. (x64)

1) From the description: It remembers and opens the last used add-on settings page even after /reloadui or relog.
It does not work after relog. It's fine after reloadui.

2) "Turn on/off the main menu button."
This doesn't do anything.

I load in, memory is at 300 or so, then it just starts to rise up like a filling glass. It reaches 1024 (my set limit) then I get a LUA popup saying to increase my memory to 2048.

Can't seam to get any info off google on LUA memory leak or addons eating up all memory so quickly.
I thought it was Master Merchant, but no.

Is there an addon that will list each addon and the memory it is using individually?

Like:
AUI 40MB
Awesome Guild Store 20MB
Master Merchant & Dependencies 210MB
etc etc
Turns out it WAS Master Merchant, I had to delete the setting files and let it recreate everything.

Shame the API doesn't let you do it.

Also, I use this so much I renamed it to "1 LUA Memory Use" so it shows up at the top of my Add-ons list

I thought a simple x32 or x64 just looks too dull. I'm a "lazy" developer and not a graphics designer. If someone has a better idea/image, feel encouraged to help me

I can add more advanced video settings.

/edit: but not here.
but where?
The ESOToolbox things do not 100% fit to any of my addons. I should create a new one and move the "Advanced Settings" from Adaptive Video Settings to it.

I'm a bit suprised, QuadroTony.
It is a 32bit/64bit indicator. Requested by you. I wonder if you really still using a 32bit client? The audio things are fixed (for me).

You mean user-profile-wide settings like in Keybinder?
no
i just open VSM variables file and i cant see any Lua memory info there
its intended?
Yes, of course.
The Lua memory settings are saved in the UserSettings.txt.
