Known Issues: v3.1.1.0

None.

3.0.0.2
Complete re-write of the addon. The re-written addon has the look and feel of the old version but the mechanics work much smoother and the code is optimized.
Migrated Addon to Ravalox' addon catalog.

2.3.5.2
Updated to support ESO 2.2.4

2.3.5.1
Updated to correct "T" key quest cycle behaviour. (with thanks to Circonian for his assistance!)
Completed quest steps (for quests with mutliple steps showing) will now be greyed out)

Known Issues:
* QT UI flashes on the screen during questgiver conversations (and assorted other times).
* Under certain circumstances, Crafting quests (certification and writs) cannot be selected
by mouse. They can still be cycled by "T" key or Journal menu.

I have a partial fix in the works for the flashing issue. Circonian had written a modification that corrects the flashing but the QT UI scrambles when the Journal menu is used to change quests or a new quest is added. I've put in additional code that corrects this but causes an additional update issue. (therefore this fix is a WIP)

Since the Cycling of the Crafting Writs is a sporadic issue (it's affecting only two of my characters on my client, so ... odd.) I will work towards a solution, but it will not be as high a priority. :-)

2.3.4.0
Corrected code to work with ZOS changes to internal quest tracker. (They are preparing for Gamepad and Keyboard integration causing changes to ZOS Quest source code.)

2.3.3.3
This update is to support ESOTU 2.1 (API 1.7)
**NOTE: This addon is currently broken. Additional code needs to change to make it compatible with ZOS' quest tracker API changes.

2.3.3.2
This update (2.3.3.2) only updates supporting documentation to reflect the transition from Wykkyd to Ravalox and Balkoth under the name of Exodus Code Group. The LUA addon/library code has not been changed.

1) I'm guessing I missunderstand the question because the quest names have to be there. The only way to hide the quest names is if you close the categories. But, you said you can see the quest objectives so the quest name has to be visibile. You can't see the objectives without seeing the quest name.

2) Yes, just click on a quest name with the mouse in the quest tracker window. You can also change selections by clicking on a quest in the quest journal window or any other means I.E. any other method or addon that changes the currently selected quest, quest tracker would automatically recognize that the currently selected quest has changed & it would select that quest in the quest tracker window.

Secondly I've set up to show all quests in a category, with it 'closing' when I 'T' to a quest in a different category. I would like to ask for a similar feature. I set the Auto Close to "Quests Only" so that I can see all the quest names, but only see the objectives of the selected quest. I would like to have all the quest names (not the objectives) for all the categories shown when the characters loads instead of just the selected quest with its objectives being shown upon loading.

Also the ability to hide the lock button!

Cheers!

Is there any way to add where the writ gets turned in, i.e. the city?

Hi.

I wasn't complaining about the size of the box (since the old version got big and small, it auto sized), I was complaining about the actual text becoming very long due to not closing quests within the box. But I will try the auto-close feature Mr. Baetram suggested next time I give the new version a try. I think that will solve one annoying issue. Every single quest having objectives staying open.

Also, I like seeing the quests within zones all open. What I didn't like was seeing all the objectives for every quest from each zone open. But again, looks like there is a fix for that I will try.

So some misunderstanding I guess on what I was saying.

But again, still think a resizing window is better than a scroll bar.... IMO. I like to look and see what I have and not need to scroll. Simple eye movement vs scrolling. Which is were the old version excelled.

There is no need to go into mouse mode & touch the scroll bar. All you have to do is select the quest you want to see and QuestTracker automatically opens and scrolls the quest into view.
The whole point is to minimize the needed space on the screen.

Didn't you just complain that it was taking up to much space because the quests stay open?

Then why would you even want the window to automatically resize and force you to show every quest you have ?

There is no need to go into mouse mode & touch the scroll bar. All you have to do is select the quest you want to see and QuestTracker automatically opens and scrolls the quest into view.
The whole point is to minimize the needed space on the screen.

Didn't you just complain that it was taking up to much space because the quests stay open?

1.) Everytime you scroll the quests (using the "T" button) you open the quest hints/objectives and it STAYS open. Causing every single quest to stay open, hence making the quest log HUGE. This is very annoying. The old version, after you "T"'d past the quest, it automatically closed the objectives. This version keeps them open. Very very annoying. Did I make sense describing my issue?

2.) Because the quest list gets huge due to the problem above, a scroll bar comes into place. The previous version the quest window would automatically get larger or smaller depending on how many quests you had. Made it very easy to see everything you had available. Now, you have to press enter to get into free mouse mode, then go to the scroll bar and scroll. Because if you use the "T" button, everything opens up and stays open.

3.) This is useless without a screenshot I know, but every character with quests I logged into got an error message right at log in and I had to "Dismiss Error" everytime I logged in. This was annoying.

So mostly because of reasons #1 and #2. I switched back to the previous version Quest Tracker. New one is just WAY too annoying it pissed me off. Maybe my complaints was actually the new intent/direction of the add on. I don't know. Just throwing out my complaints.

E: Overall, new version just added way more work, from the user end, to use quest tracking... IMO.
1) You may not like that, but some people want everything open all the time & even requested a feature to force them open. Some people only want them open if they select the quest, but want them to stay open until they close it...and some like you don't want any of them to stay open:

As Beartram said though all you need to do is turn on the AutoClose setting. From the sounds of it you want AutoClose = "All". That solves 1 & 2.
As for 3, can't help you without knowing what the error message is. Post a screenshot.

I've choosen Auto close = All and now everything gets collapsed automatically again.

1 request for a feature:

Please let the small "lock" symbol fade out after x seconds. It's just in the view and we know it is there :-)
Make it fade in again if we move the mouse over the quest tracker.
Many thanks!
