Dungeon Tracker  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.46

Dungeon Tracker
(Formerly Dungeon Levels)

(Click your flag to translate the page. Addon includes in-game support for all listed languages.)

REQUIRED LIBRARIES: LibAddonMenu

This addon adds completion and achievement information to dungeon (group and public) and trial tooltips, and overhauls the activity finder. It allows you to see quickly from the tooltip whether you have completed the global achievement for a group dungeon, public dungeon or trial, as well as visually tracking hard mode, timed trial, and no death achievements. Information is shown separately for normal and veteran versions. Also, for dungeons with multiple versions (I and II) the tooltips now show both.

Addon Settings contain many options to enable and disable various features. There are options for modifying map tooltips as well as the group finder and customizing the display.

There are many options and information you can track:
  • NEW: Click button to automatically select all dungeons for which you have not yet done the skill point quest at the LFG queue (can choose normal or veteran).
  • NEW: Show per-character group dungeon skillpoint quest completion status! (Thanks to the authors of LibUespQuestData which I referenced for the quest ID's.)
  • NEW: Shows current character's skillpoint completion for public delve tooltips.
  • Show a list of global dungeon achievement completion status on the Group Finder selection list tooltips.
  • Show a list of global dungeon/achievement completion status on dungeon (group and/or public) or trial map pin tooltips.
  • Show current characters' group challenge skillpoint completion status on public dungeon map pin tooltips.
  • Show global completion status of the achievement to defeat all bosses on public dungeon map pin tooltips.
  • Show global progress towards the meta achievements to complete all group and public dungeons in each faction on all tooltips.
  • Show missing dungeon description text Zenimax created to the specific dungeon finder tooltips in a style-conscious way.

Known limitations:

You will need to actually discover a group or public dungeon or a trial in order to see extra information in the tooltip. Addons like Map Pins MAY allow you to see the tooltips without visiting (needs testing).

Gold donations are always welcome!

Times are tough and I am desperately in need of financial support at the moment dealing with disability due to a bleeding brain cavernoma and other expenses on less than $600 monthly fixed income. It will help me to continue to bring cool content and updates to you all!

- Changed the way group dungeon map pin tooltips display information for dungeons with more than one version: Instead of stacking both the I and II information and causing the tooltip to cover or even extend past the entire screen, looking cluttered and terrible, you can now press (and hold) shift to switch between version I and version II information when viewing map pin tooltips for those dungeons.

Version 1.02a:

Hello! Just applied the update and received an error...

stack traceback:

user:/AddOns/DungeonTracker/DungeonTracker.lua:616: in function 'OnAddonLoaded'
<Locals> event = 65536, addonName = \"DungeonTracker\" </Locals>
I think all the AWA changes are making life for addon authors a bit miserable.

In case it helps troubleshooting, it looks like my saved vars file was completely rewritten, and while the "dungeons" section of the "achievementDB" has data, the "delves" section is empty...
Code:
            ["$AccountWide"] =
            {
                ["achievementDB"] =
                {
                    ["delves"] =
                    {
                    },
                    ["dungeons"] =
                    {
                        [192] =
                        {
                            ["nComplete"] = true,
                            ["nDeath"] = false,
                            ["vComplete"] = true,
                            ["tMode"] = true,
                            ["hMode"] = true,
                        },
For character specific delve details, are you leveraging LibAchievementsArchive like CharacterZoneTracker and CharacterAchievements did? (assumes a person used addons like these before U33 to preserve their character achievements)

Suddenly all my characters are showing complete for all dungeons that maybe it seems my highest level character has created. Was working a week or so ago (last time I looked)... maybe this is a post ESO update thing?

I've completely uninstalled the addon and deleted all data.. Still shows green for characters that havent even completed a single dungeon yet.

A little tweak request: it would be nice if the title of the dungeon tooltip showed I or II instead of just I.

Oh and for some reason, City of Ash I doesn't show as completed for any of my chars despite deleting the savedvars.
edit: neither does Fungal Grotto I.

@Phinix
I got it.
If I hold Shift before pointing mouse cursor over dungeon's name, it correctly shows version II.

e.g. when mousing over on map - some characters will dislpay as not completed despite done, and sometimes will show characters as completed when actually not done.

Tried the potential fix solution of exit game, delete/move lua file, restart game and rebuild database by relogging into each character. Same issue though - after fully rebuilt, showed exact same correct/incorrect info on map view while always correct LFG dungeon finder view.

Also tried deleting individual character under the settings option to do so, then restart but same thing.

Also tried completely nuking entire addon, delete all files, reinstall from scratch, relog all chars to load info again, but same thing.

Edit - also, complete guess work b/c not programmer but looking at lua files, I see in bin/AchievementDB.lua that Crypt of Hearts I is labelled as #12

Assuming this number label is correct, then in my /SavedVariables/DungeonTracker.lua - I see that one of my incorrect info characters is noted as number 8796093034555317 - by searching for this string in the lua, I see for the section labelled [12] (presumably crypt of hearts I) that it is correctly listed under the ["complete"] section.

For this section the lua correctly shows 17 of my chars are complete, and 1 is not. This is the correct view I see under dungeon finder view. But when I look on map mouse over, it lists the 1 char who hasn't done that dungeon as completed, and lists 2 of my completed chars as not done.

Since the lua seems to correctly track the info, not sure why it doesn't show that way on map view, but does on dungeon finder view.

I thought I would just manually fix this if somehow it wasn't tracking my character correctly but seems like all the data being tracked per char, per dungeon is correct for complete, and incomplete sections (again assuming I am correct that the number labels used in the AchievementDB.lua correlates to the same number labels in DungeonTracker.lua

Question - not sure matters, but in DungeonTracker.lua, all entries are labelled with version 1.20 - e.g. ["version"] = 1.2000000000

Current addon ver is 1.36. Does this matter that the lua saved data references different version that current addon ver?

Edit - guess doesn't matter, saw when I deleted entire addon, reinstalled, and rebuilt data that the lua still shows as ver 1.2000000000. Overall don't want to overblow it, since I get all the correct info via dungeon finder view, will just use it that way, but seems no matter what is done, somehow it is just hard coded that for my account, the map view will display incorrect info.

Edit 2 - also, to check if it would make a difference, re-ran a dungeon the addon says under map view my char did not complete even though has done it, but didn't change anything. Thought maybe re-doing the dungeon might get it to show correct status but didn't help

Edit 3 - maybe clue or irrelevant, but on 2nd ESO account which also has same above issue, I noticed something that might indicate it is a case by case specific dungeon tracking issue vs overall addon. Because on both my ESO accounts it is so far the same dungeons that are incorrectly doing the weird error discussed above.

So one specific example, Rivenspire zone - Crypt of Hearts 1 and 2. On my 2nd ESO account just now, I noticed that on the mouse over view on map, it inverted my actual completion status - showing CoH-2 completion for CoH1, and when I hold shift to view CoH-2 completion it showed me CoH-1.

As example, I have 2 of 9 chars that have completed vet CoH-1 on this 2nd acct. When I mouse over CoH dungeon on map though, it shows as not completed one of my chars even though actually done (which is the actual status of CoH-2 for that char), and then when I hold shift to view CoH-2 status, it shows as completed that same char for CoH-2 even though that char has not done CoH-2.

In this example, it basically inverted the completion status of CoH-1 vs 2. On my main account, this doesn't explain the error as I've done almost every dungeon on every char so the error I see there is it just isn't showing as complete a number of chars in some dungeons, but the commonality is so far the wrong displayed dungeons are the same ones. CoH 1 and 2 are in this camp, at least from comparing just my 2 accounts.

Edit 4 - again, not sure if anything to do w/ specific dungeons but found one on main account that did the above inversion of 1 vs 2 version of same dungeon. Elden Hollow 1 and 2 - showed one of my chars as having done 1 and not done 2, when in reality had not done 1 and had done 2.
Having same problem. Both the not showing highlighting character names that have completed the dungeon with regard to the "I"s and, when shift is pressed, listing the dungeons as "II"s. I now use the 'Achievements' window to see which dungeons a particular character has completed.

Does anyone know how to move the Dungeon Finder window on the right side of the screen?

Hey, sounds like another addon is doing that for some reason. There are no hooks in this addon which change the text display color in the dungeon finder list in any way.
Found the mod thanks, Group & Activity Finder Extensions
