Overview
When you mount, this addon changes one of your action slot to skill ability 'Rapid Maneuver'(RM) or its morph. The replaced skill ability will be restored after you use RM or dismount. Switching to RM will happen again before the buff timeout according to your settings if you are still riding.

Also you can manually switch RM in your slot by a key binding provided by this addon, e.g. switch to RM while running in a dungeon where you cannot mount. NOTICE: If you switch RM on foot, your old skill will not be recovered automatically by this addon, because you will lose your RM buff after recovery if you are on foot.

Notice
Due to the game limitations, slotted skills cannot be changed in combat, so use RM whenever it shows up and avoid keeping RM in slot too long. If you get engaged in combat with RM in slot, the replaced skill will not come back until combat is over.

We need it updated because it is NOT working fine! I removed all mods except this one and the game crashes on me all the time! Then I remove this addon, and no more crashing! Coincidence? NO I don't think so mate. This is why you need to constantly update these mods sadly.

Hi guys. Will this be getting updated for HotR soon? I'm using Minion and it looks like its trying to update a new version everyday but it stays stuck on Morrowind as the latest update.

Great Addon, one of the top two in my book.

I find it to be one of the most useful PVP addons out there.

*Tip* However its best to hit rapids or you will get stuck when you get off your mount with rapids instead of a much needed ability. Also trying to hit rapids twice while riding drops me from my mount. My friend found this too chancy and dropped the addon. But I am sure this will get fixed or is a limitation that can not be gone around. Still so much better than having Rapids on my bar or switching constantly.

I should say the only addons I use anymore are both by this Dev.
His other "Action Duration Reminder" is really all I ever wanted from FTC.
They are lightweight and pack a huge punch in user needs.
Basically dropped everything but these and gained fps for the win.

(On that note to Cloudor: As a suggestion: Speaking of great mods, I know everyone who loves the same kind of addons I do would love to see a Rmark like addon brought back. To see a friend partner or 2nd in command etc more easily in the confusing mob that can be PVP would be awesome. Jus throwing it out there )

Arrow Assist Rapid Riding & Rapid Maneuver Re-Appearing in Combat

A character cannot cast Rapid Maneuver while they are in combat (they also cannot summon a mount while in combat). So I haven't had a problem with Assisted Rapid Riding in that context.

There is a problem, though, with respect to riding through a position or area where one or more hostile NPCs and/or mobs will attack a mounted character. It is unclear whether Rapid Maneuver remains in effect while a character is the target of hostile action. Ordinarily RM seems to remain in effect, but the mount is unlikely to move fast enough with RM alone to avoid being hit by an attack(s). So the mount's Stamina is reduced very quickly, and the character is likely to be dismounted even before all of the mount's Stamina is expended.

The essential tactic for riding through such a position or area is to use Sprint while mounted, that is, regardless of whether RM is in effect. A sprinting mount usually moves too quickly for hostile NPCs or mobs to succeed in hitting the character with their attack(s). Although, terrain, objects, and the NPCs and mobs themselves can block or slow the mount's movement and make the character vulnerable. When an attack does succeed, the stamina of the mount is significantly reduced in addition to the stamina expended for sprinting. If the mounted character cannot escape the succession of attacks, then it becomes increasingly likely that the character will be dismounted automatically.

The problem with Assisted Rapid Riding is that the Rapid Maneuver icon can re-appear (as the duration of RM nears its end) in the slot to which it is assigned, while the mounted character is attempting to sprint through or away from a hostile situation. Then the RM icon remains in the slot even after the character is dismounted involuntarily. Afterward, the character also cannot use the ability which the RM icon replaces. In my experience, the RM icon remains even if I voluntarily dismount my character in such a situation, and my character cannot use the ability which ARR replaced with the RM icon.

Although I'm not sure how ARR can detect and respond to this situation, at the least, the Rapid Maneuver icon should not re-appear on the character's ability bar while they are "in combat", or, perhaps, at any time while the Sprint key is being held down.

Rapid Maneuver remains in effect until your character dismounts, or until your character uses another ability, because that is the way that RM works. :-)

However, with regard to Assist Rapid Riding: the RM icon disappears from the Ability Bar after you use it so that you can see the ability where the RM icon appeared when you summoned the mount. Be aware that, if your character uses that ability or any other ability during RM (or dismounts), then RM is canceled. The RM icon re-appears about 3 - 5 seconds before the current RM's duration expires, so you can re-cast it immediately.

Note that, if you swap Ability Bars after using Rapid Maneuver with Assisted Rapid Riding, then the RM icon will re-appear on that bar in the same "slot" to which it was assigned on the other bar, just before the duration of RM expires. If you use the key bound to the ability normally in that slot, then RM will be cast instead.

In my experience, Assist Rapid Riding is reasonably reliable. Occasionally, after my character summons a mount, the Rapid Maneuver icon does not replace the ability that it should replace on the ability bar. However, if I use that ability, then Rapid Maneuver is cast instead. As far as I know, the RM icon will re-appear just before its duration expires, but I cannot say for sure whether that will happen if the RM icon was not shown after my character summoned the mount.

Thank you sooo much for this addon. I was just thinking that it would be nice if I didn't have to waste a skill slot on Rapid Maneuver, and then I happened upon this addon. Literal lifesaver. Thanks!

hello, would you per chance use Dressing room still ? (just asking because i had this exact problem when i was using it. Since i changed addon i never have this problem again).

it may have be a coincidence on my side, but in case would good to check if this is the same for you

Found a bug:

Playing a warden and if I put the "Crystalin shield" (Winter cold skill row, 4th skill) in the 5th slot:
I mount and the rapid maneuver is shown. I use it and the skillchanges back, but not to the "Crystalin shield" but to the 3rd skill of the "Winter cold" row: "Arktis wind"

well, not sure if i don't get my point across. however, this is what happens (i have RM slotted on the backbar to show how both buffs apply when the ability does not get slotted by ARR)...

when i slot ARR to a different slot, the first time i set it like this, i quit the game completly as to *save* it. I noticed that if i do not do this at list the first time, the skill is removed as soon as the ARR is slotted automatically by the addon at the 5 place.

Which is logic as you can not have 2 skills identical on the same bar.

Actually i have it slotted on 1 for bar 1 (used with the addon)
and 4 for bar two (never used with the addon, but slotted there to only level it when i receive xp
