Little add-on (420kb). It adds additional pins on your ingame map.
CustomCompassPins addon can be additionaly installed to show markers on compass.

If you want to help to add survey/treasure maps then:
1. Right click on map in your inventory>link in chat, copy this string.
2. Find location, type /loc, copy this string.
3. Post collected data in comment tab.
4. Do not post chests locations or other scrap you found.

Check Add-on path. It must be "AddOns\MapPins". Not "AddOns\MapPins\MapPins", not "AddOns\MapPins 204957", etc.

They are lineal, all bosses are in the way. There is no need to add this pins.
>How do I add my translation to the addon?

This add-on do not use any map librares, it works directly with ingame map, so it is fast as possible.
This add-on have no menu. To enable/disable pins use map filters (see screenshot).
Default size for pins is 20. Use slash command: /pinsize 16-40 to change it.

I do get the completed delves, public dungeons, world bosses, skyshards, etc... showing as incomplete every time I log into the game.

But the way to fix that is simply to zone into a delve or public dungeon. Do that, and everything that I completed now shows as completed, even in other zones. But it goes back to incomplete next time I log into the game, and I have to zone into a delve or public dungeon again to fix it. Those are the only 2 things I found fixes it, but I have not tried instanced dungeons as I don't typically group.

Collected skyshards in different locations for a test. All works perfect for compass and ingame map.

Before the latest ESO release it used to remove them when you collected them. Seems that part was also based on achievements. It looks like the EVENT_SKYSHARDS_UPDATED event needs to be captured to do so now. I added this code snippet to the RegisterEvents function to get that to happen:

just confirming functionality of skyshards in this addon, which currently is showing uncollected skyshard pins very well... but what is it intended to do once I collect one? Currently, the "uncollected" pin remains after collection. Is this working as intended, or a small update bug? If I /reloadui the pin disappears, so I'm thinking may be a refresh bug on collection state change.

Thanks for the update!

Just wanted to thank everyone who helped to get the fix out for the skyshards issue. Unacquired skyshards are now correctly marked on my world map as well as inside delves.

Well, knowing that one existed one have saved me a bunch of trouble in my own addon updates, overlooked that haha - thanks for the pointing that out - Cheers!

Some special handling will be necessary when looking up the skyshardIds of those in Upper Craglorn and Cyrodiil, though, as they're split across multiple achievements, despite having the same zoneId. So for those two zones, GetSkyshardDiscoveryStatus(GetZoneSkyshardId(GetSkyshardAchievementZoneId(pinData[3]),pinData[4])) will return info for the wrong Skyshard for Upper Craglorn as well as the DC, AD, and Mountain skyshards in Cyrodiil (pinData[4] contains the index within the achievement, and index 1 for the an AD skyshard and index 1 for a DC skyshard end up returning the same id here, which is skyshard 1 of EP).

Edit: forgot to mention - can't rely on achievement related events firing when you get a skyshard collected on another character, but EVENT_SKYSHARDS_UPDATED will.
You dont really need to create skyshard id database. There is enough API functions to make it work with information which addon already has.

You need to find out if skyshard is discovered:
skyshardDiscoveredStatus = GetSkyshardDiscoveryStatus(skyshardId)
there are 3 possible return values:
0 = Undiscovered
1 = Discovered
2 = Acquired

skyshardId = GetZoneSkyshardId(zoneId, skyshardIndex)
skyshardIndex is here pinData[4]

zoneId = GetSkyshardAchievementZoneId(achievementId)
achievementId is here pinData[3]

So, here is a quick fix:

The Deadlands is the one area in the game where I have not acquired all Skyshards; however, only the Overland Skyshards are shown, not the ones in Delves.

The "Map Completion" overview still shows "skyshard" completion, so that per-character information is still being stored somewhere. The question is, can AddOns access that information, and where is it?

I can suggest the following solution:

1.Open the MapPins.lua addon file in the \live\AddOns\MapPins directory with notepad
2. find the line

3.remove the characters -- at the beginning and hit save and restart the game interface with the command /reloadui
4.in the filters section, a section will appear displaying previously found skyshards

result


p.s. standard filter does not solve the problem

I removed all files from the SavedVariables directory.
Skyshards are still not shown on the map.

Edit: I just tested the AddOn on the PTS server and the Skyshards are showing
