Help the ESO Community and install the Esohead AddOn!

The Esohead Addon is a lightweight addon you install in game that helps us keep the website up to date! You can then submit this data to Esohead using these instructions.

We will use this collected data to keep our database accurate for The Elder Scrolls Online. The more data we get the better our database becomes for you!

The new version of TESO has a new API version. This version will not say "Out Of Date" and you can download version 0.1.12 from my GitHub fork. The file will be eso-addon-master so after you unzip the download you need to rename that from eso-addon-master to Esohead. Then copy that to your Addons folder.

I am having the exact same problem and I have had it for a long while.Just as the post above says, I too have removed all addons and just enable esohead. When ever t is active I can not logon to the game.
Come on guys someone else has to be experiencing this problem.

OMG! Thanks! The first time in over a month that I've had no addon's being Out of Date!

I am having the exact same problem and I have had it for a long while.Just as the post above says, I too have removed all addons and just enable esohead. When ever t is active I can not logon to the game.

Esohead crashes game

Hello,
I can't log in with Esohead enabled regardless if using the default Esohead.lua or the one full of markers. The game stalls after character selection and boots me back to log in after about 30 sec of trying to load, giving me an "Unknown error". Only happens with Eso head enabled. I've tried turning all my other add-ons off and still does the same thing, I've also tried using the newest version 0.1.11 and the same thing happens. Any suggestions?

After patch 1.2.3 there is a new API version. This version will not say "Out Of Date" and you can download version 0.1.11 from my GitHub fork. The file will be eso-addon-master so after you unzip the download you need to rename that from eso-addon-master to Esohead. Then copy that to your Addons folder.

User names are still reporting as [""] so if you are trying to use data prior to the 1.2.3 Patch you will have to edit the file so it looks like this.

Then you didn't download the new version. Update the mod.

It's been resolved since 05/22/14. In fact I have a beta version up for approval that's even newer then that, just below your post.

Exclamation Bugs, Errors, Unusable, Outdated.

I noticed for myself, and for others that I've asked about it in the game, have problems with the latest build - it hasn't been updated in a while. It says out of date in the add-ons list, and it continues to spit out errors.

I hope you can get it resolved soon, and get the add-on updated so it can be used without these problems soon.

I think the only way to resolve this is to manually edit the daily Merge File. Your just going to have to find things to get rid of. The 'harvest" section is obviously what you are looking for. Then once you can load, if your login doesn't time out, get it imported. You might want to import each section from the Daily Merge file separately.

Also I just finished my EsoheadMerge and Harvester mods. Once I update them enough they will import Esohead files, EsoheadMerge files, and HarvestMap files. Once I can do that, the file produced will eliminate all the duplicate information that is rolling around in any of the files you are importing. You will always have to edit the Daily Merge file before importing. Once you have imported the information you will have any new nodes it provides, without all the overhead. After which you can deactivate the EsoheadMerge mod so that your login times are reasonable. Until it gets too large.

The unreleased importing filters for EsoheadMerge will really clean out all the extra crap. My test version reduces the 8MB file to about 4GB if I just import the English Only information. Importing information from the localized maps won't be an issue soon because I will be translating both the node names and the map names into the language of the client software. Once EsoheadMerge tries to add the node it will be able to properly look for duplicate nodes. Left over unlocalized nodes will go into another section so users can report them, and the proper translations to me.

Just wanted to add that I'm not able to log in if esohead addon is set as active and I have the latest downloaded share .lua file, which for me is currently 8.4 MBs. Also had this Problem eso Head file over 11 mb prevented me from login and i also was Not able to Share it on the merage side for Map nodes because uploading always faild...

Yeah there is no reason to reinstall once it crashes. That is Zenimax bug not a bug from the mod. It's because the file is too large. Go ahead and upload the file to help contribute to the database on Esohead.com.

However, after that, open the file in a GOOD text editor like Notepad++ and edit out "provisioning" since it was removed in 0.1.10. If you can log in there is a new feature. You can reset specific data types. So use "/esohead reset npc" to reset NPC locations. Reset anything you don't think you want. That will make the file smaller. I'd say "skyshard", "npc", and "provisioning" are probably the three that can go for sure. SkyShards has all the locations of the Skyshards in it. LoreBooks also has all the LoreBooks and I think one user found them all. It has other books in it not just LoreBooks, but it only stores the title and location not the text for the book. So maybe "book" could be edited out after you upload the the Website.

Making it "skyshard", "npc", "provisioning", and "book". It's all up to your discression. If you use HarvestMap be sure to import the data into HarvestMap, but after you do then you could backup the file and delete it. There is no reason to let it just keep getting bigger and bigger. It's a good idea to backup Harvestmap.lua or any Save Files every so often.

Same for me.
When esohead is installed, TESO crash when i try to enter in the game. (error and back to the login)

I tried to (re)install 3 time esohead and alway the same error.
