Add option to show/hide, change style, and adjust the size and transparency of in-game crosshair (Reticle). You can add labels around the Reticle to show the information such as target name, health, distance, etc.

I made this addon because I find the standard Reticle is too big for my liking. The settings are flexible enough to allow you to change how the Reticle look for each state such as when point at interactable object, target mob, or while in combat. The default setting are set to be less intrusive and give feedback when player targeting an interactable objects, and when an enermy target is in combat range.

** FEATURES **
  • Show or hide Reticles.
  • Adjustable Reticles size and transparency.
  • Adjustable size of Interact text.
  • Quickly identify friend from foe by switch on Reaction Color. It will allow Reticle to change color according to the type of unit you're targeting.
  • *NEW* Show target name, health min/max around the Reticle.
  • *NEW* Custom Reticles. Change the look of Reticle to suit your style, or just to get that impact feedback.
** HOW DO I USE MY OWN RETICLE DESIGN? **

You will need an image of Reticle you want to use in the size of 64x64 pixels, and in DDS format. If you have Photoshop, you can use NVIDIA Texture Tools to save your design as DDS, or save as PNG and convert using free software such as Easy2Convert PNG to DDS.

Name your file to "custom1.dds", "custom2.dds", or "custom3.dds". Then put the file inside "Textures" folder within this Addon folder.

C:\Users\< username >\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\ReticleSettings\Textures\

Then in game, select "Custom 1", "Custom 2", or "Custom 3" depending on what name you use.

Custom 1 - custom1.dds
Custom 2 - custom2.dds
Custom 3 - custom3.dds

Use the setting below when save or convert to DDS:

Way. I've added "Use Reticle Visibility" option for each labels in v1.4.8. Turn them all on and it should do exactly what you've described.

Is there any way we could get the ability to attach the label display to the reticle display toggles directly? That is, if no reticle is currently being displayed, no label will be displayed either.

For example, I set my reticle to only display on interactable or attackable targets, which works excellent. However, if then add labels (such as target distance), the labels will remain onscreen even if the reticle does not. This is much more apparant for melee weapons and the 'in-range' reticle setting, but it also applies to NPCs and players.

In-range with melee weapon.

Out-of-rage with melee weapon.

I think I found the problem, but I can't test it out due to NA server is currently under maintenance. I would suggest you to switch Unit Frame back on when you're in a party until I managed to get around to get this fixed. Cheers!

  1. Use Notepad to open "ReticleSettings.lua" file in C:\Users\< user name >\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\ReticleSettings\
  2. Use Ctrl+F to find ZO_UnitFrames and replace it with ZO_TargetUnitFramereticleover.
I have no idea if this will work, but if you managed to get into the server and test it out then do let me know the result. Thanks!

I'll try it but server is down too for maintenance. But i'll update in this thread if it works when server is back up.

alright well, i had to restart my game client, then it worked. Simply extracting the addon and writing /reloadui did not work.

alright well, i had to restart my game client, then it worked. Simply extracting the addon and writing /reloadui did not work.

You currently can change font, individual size and transparency for each Labels around the Reticle. Individual colour for Labels and Reticle is a plan feature, and will be implement once I get the colour picker working in settings panel.

This addon seems to be hiding/destroying my target health bar. The health bar up top, it dissapears when I have this addon loaded. When I remove this addon the health bar reappears.

Kinda strange no? Didn't think this addon had anything to do with the target health bar.
