function IN2_QueryAccountInventory( itemLink, itemName ); --[[ receives: itemLink - string; ZO formatted itemlink itemName - string; plain text name of the item returns: a queryItem object Note: Providing an itemName string will result in the search using the name. Providing an itemLink will result in a more specific item search using ZO ItemLinks. Providing both will default to using the provided itemLink. Due to the nature of itemization in TESO, ItemLinks for the same item do not match in some cases. For example, the level 1 LockPicks provided to characters who skip the Cold Harbor introduction are different (from the perspective of the ItemLink) than later acquired LockPicks. (I have no idea why this is the case but I am researching this. queryItem = { link = itemLink; name = itemName; locations = { [n] = { name = ""; -- name of the location found; {"Bank","{charactername}"} itemsFound = n; -- the number of items of this time found at this location } } } ]]--

Ok mail sent, hope it helps
If it dosent crash for you, i got a lot of addones around 60 or so, so might be they interact with your addone ? [EDIT] Give me a min i try with your addone alone and the .lau file, and see what happens. [EDIT2] Ok crash, hmm then i try another thing, delete the .lau file and then open inventory alone, then bank, then guild bank. . and see when the crash happens, then we might be able to narrow it down a bit.

Hmm just updated to the new version, and went to my main char no problem, looked at guild bank, my bank. . and re logged game crashed, dident think anything about it started game up again, crash, i then disabled the addones i just updated, and worked fine, so i tried with trail and error and ended with that it was your addone.
If i delete the InventoryInsight.lua and start up again works fine til next relog, or log into any other char, then crash. IF you want i can mail you the InventoryInsight.lua file, so you can take a look in it ? |

You should see the "Guild Store" listed there, just turn off the inventory frame for that and any other scenes you would prefer not to see the frame in. Let me know if you run into any problems. |

As far as interfering with the chat window, I can also understand. I personally have moved/resized my chat frame as it was not at the bottom of the screen (which I thought was weird) and a little too big for my needs, but of course, that won't apply to everyone. I have been testing several ways to try and approach this. Ultimately, a method to dock the frame over the regular inventory would be ideal, but it will require a major rework. I am testing it though! I would completely integrate with the default inventory but it will be quite difficult and I would likely need assistance from someone a bit more skilled than myself. :P FYI - I am planning on making a few changes/additions to try to subside some of the things you've pointed out in the very near future. For instance...
So, as you can see, some of these things should help you once they are finished and released. Unfortunately, I am the only one working on this project and it's quite time consuming, so I do what I can. Thanks for the feedback and suggestions!
I am actually working on adding some "cleanup" support, if you will, very soon. I realize that IN2 just collects loads of information but some things like characters and guilds are far from static. Surprisingly, it's not a concept I thought of upon conception. NOT surprisingly, this doesn't affect me because I barely even get a chance to play these days. For now though, you are correct, you would have to either delete the save file or modify it manually. I do not recommend the later unless you are INTIMATE with Lua and saved variables files for ESO. :P I am unfamiliar with the "Advanced Filters" so I will try to research. However, if you do find yourself with some time and wouldn't mind adding a list of filters you would like to see for the inventory frame to the Features Request tracker in my portal, I would HIGHLY appreciate that. (Would certainly speed up the time in which I could implement a feature like that.) Regarding the drop downs - very insightful feedback. However, I do not think I would want to add another dropdown (would be a bit cluttered in my opinion). Keep in mind though, that I could just as easily add more "locations" in that drop box. I was actually thinking of this today and almost added options like "All Guild Banks", "All Banks", "All Characters", etc. I could also add them in such a way as to keep them separate so all of your characters would be together, for instance. Let me know what you think about this because those specific three would be VERY easy for me to implement. (Also, feel free to add to that and I'll see what I can do.) Again, thank you both (and everyone else as well) for the feedback, suggestions, and support! I'm trying my best to keep this up-to-date and helpful for everyone and your cooperation is very helpful! |

When i'm at Guild Store, and the "inventory Insight" window shows together with my "Guild Store Search", i don't really want to see "Inventory Insight" is it not possible to like press the White "-INVENTORY INSIGHT-" text to collapse it to text only til you press it again ?

Vicster, not sure how this is happening.
In the Inventory Insight window: I have a character I deleted, yet I'm still seeing the inventory for that character. *edit: The only way I saw to fix this was to delete the addon and the saved variable and start from scratch. -- Also, yes I find the icons helpful. They would be even more helpful if they functioned like the add on Advanced Filters. Advanced Filters breaks everything down to sub categories and is highly useful in the main inventory window. Having that functionality in Inventory Insight would be real nice. I like the Guild Bank option available but HATE it being seen in the ALL drop menu. Two separate drop down menus would make it better. One for just your characters and one for just your banks. So you could keep the way it functions currently on the drop down menu but make two of them side by side (e.g. Drop Down Menu #1 - All Characters, Drop Down Menu #2 - All Banks). The alphabetical order is nice until you add the banks into it. I'd like to see all my characters in a row on the list and not mingling with those naughty banks. The above solution would fix this as well.

I'd also really love it if we could resize the frame or even toggle it with a command or hotkey (unless we already can, and I've missed it). The way the addon is now, it conflicts with pretty much every part of my UI... While it's docked I can't use the search bar because it's behind one of my chat windows, and my only choice is to undock it and constantly drag it around my screen depending on whether I'm crafting, looking in my bags, etc. I'd be so happy if I could even just toggle it. |

Just curious, I have not received much feedback regarding the sorting icons to the right of the Inventory Frame; are people using them and enjoying them?
Let me know what you think! Thanks! |
