I get the "No Recipes Available Please Learn Some" message when crafting at an Alchemy Station. Thrice, every time I create a potion. As far as I can tell, Recipe Book is the only plugin that uses that particular text message.

This mod keeps track or recipes, not sure where you get the idea it tracks items.

Sorting feature

It would be nice to have a feature to sort or view all of your recipes by lvl and/or quality. As in all the recipes for a lvl 20 toon would be together & could then be further sorted by quality if need be or wanted. I know it can already be sorted by type of food or drink but further sorting would be nice. I do a lot of cooking for guildies & being able to further sort these recipes would go a long ways towards finding what I / they want /need as well as what ingredients are needed.

Wykdwolffie if you look on the right side of the recipe book it lists all the ingredients needed to make the highlighted item & the 2 #s next to each ingredient shows how many if that item you have in your bank & on the toon your logged in with... example: Snowberry - 14 - 3 (14 in the bank & 3 on your current toon logged in).

Also at the top of the recipe book you can sort by RQ (Recipe Quality) PR & QR. Ive obviously figured out the RQ but any1 have any clarification on what PR & QR stand for? Im sure im not the only 1 scratching his/her head over this lol.

***Bump*** One week later, anyone heard any news about this Add-On? Doesn't keep track even of what my character has in her bags, much less other characters.

*Ingredient Tracker
I'm sure this is really cool... BUT... does it tell you how many you have, or what you looted, or is it somehow for creating a queue of foods that you want to cook? What does it DO? Also, how do you make use of it?

So basically, I figured out how to have it show me my alts recipes. I figured out how to sort by name, etc. Now I just need to figure out how to have it show me what I have/need.

Thanks in advance!!

EQBallzz, im adding a setting to disable the auto update of ingredient counts, this should stop any lag

wulfmeister.

thx for confirming this as ive never had a issue either, but I have a recently built gaming rig so maybe others might experience issues...

lag problems are very hard to diagnose mainly because 99% of lag is caused by PC specs...

Not sure if you were aware of this, but it causes a considerable amount of lag whenever you loot something or craft something.

But, otherwise, it's a really nice addon, and I use it whenever I need to look up a recipe.
I will add a setting to disable the update of the ingredient counts which is the function that is being called upon the loot and crafting events.

Other than that though I would guess if many addons are hooking the looting and crafting events it could possibly cause lag depending on users PC really.
I initially posted this issue on the Loot Drop author's comment section, because I thought it was an issue with Loot drop and the lag was just the norm. But when he hadn't heard any similar reports, I went through and tested my other addons to see which was causing the issue.

I run 20 addons total, it took a while, but I disabled all but Loot Drop, then started enabling each of my addons one by one to see if they were causing the lag. Here is a list of what I run, hopefully it might help you to narrow down the problem. Unfortunately, I didn't test them each by themselves with Loot Drop though. Recipe Book was like the 3rd to last one I tested, after discovering the lag returned with it enabled, I enabled all of them again with the exception of Recipe Book, and the lag did not return.

I'm experiencing the same issue. It took me a long time to narrow down which addon was doing this and like Mortosk I suspected it was lootdrop or something similar because the lag only happens when I go to loot something. I was surprised to discover that it went away once I disabled this addon.

I don't know if it's this addon specifically or it's just not playing nice with another addon but it does seem to go away completely with this one disabled and it started happening with the last versions of this released (I think).

I'm running quite a few addons in case that is helpful info for you. Will be disabling this addon for now as the lag is pretty bad.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I use Lootdrop, Continued (All in one). I really don't experience any type of lag...well...only when I go to a vendor, it auto-sells my junk stuff. But the mod I use there is Dragon Loot - Simple Loot Addon. Never experienced lag related to a mod while playing. If you would like a listing of all the mods I use, please let me know.

Ahostbr, don't sweat it! All the mods work perfectly, just a very small pain on the initial loading screen. I can deal with it! I would rather have the message pop up versus not having your mod. I appreciate all your work!

Too many anchors testing

Ok, I've done some extensive testing today. First thing I did was completely uninstall the recipe book mod along with the lua file. After that I noticed the same too many anchors message still come up! I went through every single mod and see what the heck could be causing this. Then...I found it! It was the X4D Chat mod...but...only in Stonefalls. My other characters who are in Deshaan, are fine with this mod turned on and the message does not come up.

Then I reinstalled the recipe book mod and enabled it. I kept the X4D Chat enabled. The characters who did not experience the too many anchors message in Deshaan now have that message. Here's the kicker...all except 1 character. My last character, I can log into Deshaan with both mods enabled, and nothing comes up.

After that, I disabled the X4D Chat mod, and had all other mods along with recipe book. All my Deshaan characters were good, but all my Stonefalls characters had that message.

The thing I can't figure out is why my one character I can enable all my mods and not receive any message, but the rest I can't? Strange....

Let me know what else I can help with.

* I forgot to mention that I completely removed the X4D Chat mod and lua and reinstalled it after I found out it was causing the message.

Suggestion

I'd love to see a button to open the Recipe Book in the chat window, such as in the add-on CraftStore.
