More info on Esc key bug.

I have found it is not just the Escape key becoming bugged, it is every key-bind enabled, such as research key, interact key, repair all key, etc.

The key-binds are perfectly fine and useable once and once only, perhaps tied into a tool-tip popup as after destroying an item in inventory it no longer works, same with researching, etc. It is always only once can you use a hot-key then all hot-keys that are menu related stop responding.

Hopefully this helps you to narrow down the issue in code related.

were you able to figure out what was causing it thier are a few other mods out there with the same issue i wouldn't mind fixing myself but same i don't know what could be causing it

Yup same as the others below me,1.1.2 seems to have "broken" the addon in some parts.

The arrow still does its targetting fine, but after some time playing the ESC button will stop working (often after a teleport I've found) and the E button may act up as well.

Typing /reloadui in the chat will fix it temporarily but the ESC bug will always come back at the moment. Great mod though, still better overall than the new group leader icon added by the patch.

Getting the ESC bug as well. Also causes the E key, clicking wayshrines, and a few other things to not work happens for me.

same here escape popup menus etc do not work with this installed anymore its busted 100004 :S

Issue after patch 1.1.2

Got patched up today, logged in, and experienced some strange problems. Everything was fine at first, but after some point (not sure what the trigger is), pressing Escape to get the game menu wouldn't do anything. Also had a problem getting popup messages (when trying to delete an item from my inventory, when clicking on a wayshrine on the map to fast travel, to confirm an item for research). Seemed like popup/confirmation boxes were being blocked.

After much disabling of addons and many /reloadui commands, I narrowed the problem down to this addon. I have very little knowledge of the inner workings of addons, so I don't have much to add beyond this.

I think you can fix it by adding this:

(I just added it, haven't actually tested it)

On line 182, replace the following:
Code:
if GetGroupUnitTagByIndex(xmemberid) == state.Leader.Tag then
				doesCustomExist = true
			end
With this:
Code:
		if state.Leader != nil then
			if GetGroupUnitTagByIndex(xmemberid) == state.Leader.Tag then
				doesCustomExist = true
			end
		end

I think the error occurs because state.Leader does not have a value when it happens. Or maybe even state is null. Whichever - There is a null check missing
