Purpose

When you check the auto-loot option in Teso menu, drops go directly into your bag. But you do not know what you looted.
Lootdrop graphically displays this informations (icon, quantity, rarity and text) on the screen by stacking it in a specific and transparent window.

Features

Displays your loots
Displays XP, Veteran XP, AP, TelVar, Guild XP, Inspiration (Craft XP), all configurable
LootDrop frame is movable (menu -> lock/unlock). Move it at the desired place, and lock it
Diiferent icon style from menu (older one by default, Pawkette style or Rushmik style)
The quantity appears before the name, not after
Rarity color on border of the LootDrop frame configurable in menu (on/off)
Loots could be stack up (default) or stack down
Key binding for Autoloot on/off and lootdrop frame lock/unlock
Show detailed loot in chat if debug log is checked
Show items looted from mail

For reference, I have the latest version of the addon. In the new ESO patch, I get an error every time I pick something up with the addon active, even though I am allowing out of date add-ons- and the game does identify it as such. I have attached a screenshot of the error message.

This problem does not occur with other out of date add-ons. Is there anyway around that until the author releases a new version that works with the current API? Or can someone suggest a different loot add-on in the mean time? I really want to be able to see what I pick up, it's one of my least favorite things about the vanilla game. Thanks!

As there is a different itemlink format on PTS, it is not possible to extract color and text information from itemlinks. To make LootDrop work on PTS, you will need to use itemlink itself instead of extracted text.

It should be enough to change LootDrop.lua line 462 from:

Comment out lines 739 and 1031, i.e. change it from from:

In the LootDroppable.lua you should change line 156 from:

(All changes are for the latest version 1.8.4)

After this change it should work on both live server and PTS, but some functions on PTS still won't be working properly (for example colored borders).

you have lag for all loots or specific one ? (quest items, items from body, harvest item, ...)
a second is enourmous, no ? what kind of pc have you ?

Just an update on this. I finally had a chance to narrow down the source of the lag I was experiencing. Apparently, it is caused by interaction with another addon for provisioning called Recipe Book. When I disable this other addon, the lag disappears when looting items. I posted a comment on the Recipe Book comment section, so I thought I would post one here as well just to make you aware.

this feature has already been requested by thirn : feature.

I'm not very hot to add this because :

that not the main purpose of lootdrop
the description string of a drop item will be too long, espécially in french and german,
we are using ESO Loot event, not ESO Bag event, so it should be a major change for this addon
this Pawkette's addon is already great

So to change my mind, could you give me an use case that shows me the interest of the feature.

There are a lot of loot log that already done that (i suppose i could do that in the debug log),
but LootDrop addon also has to worry about graphics and screen size.
