Srendarr - Aura, Buff & Debuff Tracker (Outdated)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.43
by: Kith [More]
Srendarr adds the ability to track your buffs and debuffs you cast on others, both the long-duration abilities that appear under the Character window as well as the short-term buffs that normally only show via graphical effects on your character. The aura tracking is designed to visually mesh with the standard UI theme but includes many options to change the appearance.

Please note that this initial release, while it has been bugtested, uses a database of durations to "fake" timers for short-term buffs and this database uses durations obtained out of game from wikis and thus may not be entirely accurate for every ability. In a situation where you discover a timer not matching the duration, please let me know so I can update the numbers

/srendarr unlock -- unlock the aura display for movement
/srendarr lock -- relock the display

Additional options will be found in the Settings menu under S'rendarr.

I was debating how to handle that. The three choices would be to make the passives on targets be either:

a) Controlled the same as the player (so the toggle applies to both)
b) Controlled seperately (duplicate the options)
c) No control, just show it all

I went with option (c) for now, but if theres some preference I can add in options for a or b. Which is more likely to be preferred?

I have some skills of mine translated into German, are the also displayed. The Mundus stones I built in toggle because they were not off via the Mundus stones. From the Dragon Knights Eruptive weapons functioned even though they are not translated.
For the most part, if you use the name the ability appears as on your hotbar (or in the skill book) thats the name that is needed for the tracking to work for short-term buffs (and debuffs) that you cast. For the long-term things like toggles and passives, the only names needed are the ones to 'match up' like for Cyrodiil and Vampirism.

I'm very happy to include localization if I can get a list of translated names :>

Gave it a go.

Went beyond my expectations, very awesome addon. Already seems far superior to ftc's buffs module.

And debuffs work well too (only tested pierce armor so far), so thank you for adding them.

Played with options a little bit, and all worked well except the vamp/werewolf hide:

Here is a screenshot of all 3 permanent/mega duration werewolf buffs that should be hidden:
http://i.imgur.com/P3Kaid0.jpg

Names are:
Lycanthropy (This one does properly hide)
Call of the Pack (Does not hide)
Sanies Lupinus (Does not hide, this one is the 7day timer to bite ppl)

Feature request, for the distant future when you have time:
Mouse over buffs to get descriptions. I imagine most of them may not be available inthe api, so may have to be done manually, so yea I get this is a huge request and would take a lot of work. I'm glad to help with any unknown descripts.

EG when you activate a pinion lock in a anchor, many ppl do not know but this grants you a very powerful 30 second buff which does a bunch of things, exactly what im not sure yet, but definetely includes:
fully restores all hp/stam/magicka
general power buff (increases all damage)
Possibly more.

bug/feature request: (may not be fixable)
Honor the dead properly shows the 8 second mana regen when cast. However would be very cool if it only showed when you cast with yourself under 50% health. I get that this wouldn't really be 100% accurate as you can properly only detect the players health, not the auto-smart-targeted-nonesense target.. But would be very helpful to tanks. Perhaps as an option if you think the accuracy issue is important. (My way would imo be more accurate, as you dont get the buff in most cases for healing other players).

Wow man, this one is going straight for legendary status! The target buffs are amazing, and the level of customization is second to none. Excellent work, truly.

Just a couple minor requests: The "Vampirism" status is still showing in long buffs even when I opt not to show Vampirism/Werewolf. The other vampire related ones (stage, etc.) seem appropriately hidden.

I was wondering if it would be possible to still show the target buffs when entering mouse mode. This may be a UI limitation, as it seems the name plates disappear as well. I am just wondering how I am supposed to mouse over the icons to see the name as in the options if I opt not to use the vertical bars.

Thanks a million for this and Azurah.

EDIT: So with a little more testing it looks like the "Vampirism" passive is classified as, well, a passive. So, if I set the show vampirism/werewolf option to off, it still shows, but if I set show passives to off, it does not.

Would be cool if this one could get reclassified to work with the option to not show vampire/werewolf buffs, but not a huge issue, since there aren't really many passives I care to track.

Just uploaded 1.21 which should fix this. I don't actually have a passive active on myself right now, so the error (caused by passives) didn't show up in my testing. Should be fixed now and will have another good look at it tomorrow (gone midnight here).

The vampire feed thing is a bug i'm aware of and intend to fix. The delay for cast animation I can add to spells I don't yet have it on if you can give me a list, but there is no way to accomodate for lag sorry, that information just isn't available to modders (yet).
1 - 1.3 second delay would be good enough for all spells until it gets fine tuned.
An issue with adding a delay like that to all spells is it would work for people with high lag, but would make them inaccurate in the other direction for those without. Theres no ideal solution i'm afraid unless Zeni gives more leeway to modders and, to be fair, the API changes did make a (de)buff tracker kind of a kludge to even exist in the first place.

Hrm, i'm not really sure why if swapping out the names in AuraData doesn't work. You could try this to give me an idea if you don't mind...

Put an ability in your first hotkey slot that has a duration that would be tracked by S'rendarr and then type this into your chat window
Code:
/script CHAT_SYSTEM:AddMessage(GetSlotName(3))
That'll return the name the game is using for that ability and thats how my mod picks up what is in which slot to do the 'short term' tracking.
