Tutorial video courtesy of @JGoss (outdated)

This update fixes Ability Bar save/load issues. In addition, the Gear Change window has been shifted to the right a bit to prep for the Orsinium DLC release on Nov. 2nd.

Anyone installing the addon fresh will have no issues, however if you have been using Outfitter previous to ESO 2.2.4, your Gear UI will be under the Character Stats ZOS added to the inventory screen. The easiest way to fix this is to click on your paperdoll, this will bring the Outfitter UI to the front, and you can move it to where you like to have it (and it will save that location going forward.)

If anyone has difficulty with doing this, or would rather edit the savedvariables file cause they like to be geeky/nerdy: in the WykkydsOutfitter.lua file in your savedvariables folder; change the line gc_shiftx to read: ["gc_shiftx"] = 600 ... This will force the UI to shift.

Note: This addon is in queue to be re-written. The interface will be improved as well as the functionality.

Wykkyd's Outfitter allows you to create GEAR SETS and ACTION BAR SETS from within the Inventory & Skills windows and load them at will. The sets you build in Outfitter can also be macro'd via Wykkyd's Macros and can, thus, be paired together and keybindable, if you so choose.

Swap your gear with a click!

Swap your action bar abilities with a click!

AS OF OUTFITTER 1.8.24.1 you will have to re-build all armor sets that you've built in the past. None of them will cross over and work properly. This is because I converted the addon over to use Zenimax's new item API for identifying your gear. This changed the ID codes associated with each piece of gear and that results in your old sets no longer being viable. I highly recommend you use the Outfitter popup window inside of the Inventory/Bags game window and re-build your sets before trying to equip them, or you might flood yourself offline.
  • All new item Identifier system = more accurate and faster gear moves
  • Cleaner item handling = fewer issues with duplicate or dual wielded items and shields
  • Faster item moves = slightly greater chance you could move too quickly and cause small item hangs. So try not to swap sets too quickly after each other (I recommend waiting at least 3 to 5 seconds, and I also recommend reloading your user interface occasionally between multiple swaps to keep things running smooth).
  • DO NOT open or close your bags or manually click any gear while an item move is taking place
  • WARNING swapping gear-sets while mounted will dismount you if your swap includes any weapons
  • WARNING swapping skill sets CAN result in a graphical bug with your ability icons. Toggling between weapon 1 & 2 a few times really quick usually resolves this bug (it is a game bug and I cannot directly fix it, sorry).

NEW WITH WYKKYDS MACROS (separate addon) you can now take advantage of a VERY ADVANCED user interface, via the new features of the MACRO WINDOW.
  • Firstly: You can swap both action bars AND a gear set in a SINGLE macro with 1 press. The inactive weapon's skills will load when you swap to it. It will even prompt you in chat to toggle your weapons to finish loading your skills.
  • ADVANCED FEATURE: Macro Key Intercept (ESC > Settings > Wykkyd Settings > Macro Key Intercept)
    • MAKE SURE TO KEYBIND THE MACRO WINDOW (ESC > Controls > Keybindings > Wykkyd's Framework Macro Window)
    • Opening the macro window with this setting enabled WILL INTERCEPT ALL KEYSTROKES
      • This doesn't log what you're typing. That would be silly since it would only be able to write them to your saved variables file, which nobody but you has access to.
      • This DOES interrupt gameplay temporarily, but that is by design.
      • This is SPECIFICALLY so that you can re-map your keys WHEN INSIDE THIS WINDOW to whatever you wish, WITHOUT interrupting your normal game keybinds
    • When the macro window is open, you can HOLD CONTROL to enable key mapping (which lets you set which key triggers which macro)
    • Hovering your mouse cursor over a TAB button, a MACRO button or the CLOSE button while holding CONTROL lets you set that button to be triggered by the keyboard key that you press.
    • EXAMPLE: Setting a keybind inside the macro window
      • Open the macro window
      • Hold CONTROL on your keyboard
      • MOUSEOVER the first macro button
      • Press 1 (while still mousing over, and still holding control)
      • Macro 1 will now be set to the number key 1 whenever the macro window is open, but not at any other time
    • EXAMPLE USAGE: Swapping gear with a macro, using these new keybinds
      • Press HOME (my keybind for opening the macro window, in Controls>Keybinds)
      • Press 1 (my keybind, set inside the macro window, for Macro Button 1)
      • Press ` (my keybind, set inside Controls>Keybinds, for swapping weapons)

So I better start naming my sets with "bar1" and "bar2" in their names so that I can remember which bar they are for.

I suppose it makes sense the addon can only save the bar when it is the active/loaded one. But does the set have to be bound to the bar? Couldn't the addon load any set into the current bar?

lol this whole conversation got kinda totally confused now

i reinstalled and its working for me now. so here is what you can do:

saving a "complete" set (2 bars) under the same name:
switch to bar 1, choose your skills, choose a name, click save
switch to bar 2, choose your skills, use the same name, click save

if you now load that setup both bars will be filled with the selected skills. however the skills are always bound to the bar in which they were in while you saved the setup. so the skills you choose for bar 1 will be loaded in bar 1 and the skills you choose for bar 2 will be loaded in bar 2

so what you cant do is, and thats what you are trying to do ( i finally go it ):

switch to bar 1, select your skills, choose a name, save it
switch to bar 2, load your just saved file and watch bar 2 being filled with the skills that you just saved in bar 1.... the outfitter will always load those skills in bar 1 because you saved them as "weapon/bar1"

so if for some reason you really need only 1 bar to be set you have to make a note in the name to what bar it belongs.. (like i did because somehow saving 2 bars with the same name wasnt working for me)

maybe there is a way to just save a skill-set without binding it to a specific bar and then just load it in whatever bar is just active, but i dont know, cos i really know bull about lua or programming in general

Hey Wykkyd, having a problem with the addon and using it with the frameworks macro system.

I have a setup for 2handed and dual wield. It will let me switch from the 2handed to dual wield, equipping all the gear, but won't equip with second weapon. Also, it will put in all the skill abilities in the bar, but then I cannot switch back to the 2hand setup, once I've already been in the dual wield. Will not load anything, until I reload the UI.

Looove Wykkyd's Outfitter, sad it isn't working as of a few days ago

I love the outfitter and have used it a lot. As of the last few days, I haven't been able to equip a set. Saving has also rarely worked. There were a few times initially when this bug started for me where I waited out an equip and it took effect after like 2 minutes.

I don't believe I had any any other mods at the time the problem arose, but it is possible that some mod was updated by minion.

You misunderstood me.

Set up your skills on bar 1 and bar 2.
Type the name into the box: ABC123, for example.
Click Save
Swap bars
Click Save

When you later Load, it'll say in Chat to change bars.
You change bars, it should resume and load the "other" bar.

If you start the load on bar 1 it'll load bar 1's skills, prompt you to swap, when you swap it should load bar 2's skills.

If you start the load on bar 2 it'll load bar 2's skills, prompt you to swap, when you swap it should load bar 1's skills.

^^^ if it's not doing that for you, then it's not behaving properly.
ok so u are saying i can have saved both bars in on file?

i set up bar1 with 6 skills, do the same for bar 2, then i name it "MySetup", save it, switch bar, save it with the same name, and both bars should now load if i load the setup?

lol if thats how it is supposed to work i think i have the same problem like the other guy ^^

atm i need to have 2 saves for 1 setup.. 1 for bar 1 and 1 for bar 2...
was always like this for me and i really thought it was supposed to be like that
but hey even if it doesnt work like intended it is not that much of a hassle.. i just have twice as much saves as neccessary and need a few clicks more

anyways.. i need to get some sleep.. trying to reinstall tomorrow.. thx for your awesome addons so far

lol u seem confused for sure.

of course the sets are bound to the specific bars and for me they always have been.

so lets say u have "bar 1" and u set your 6 skills then u name it and save it those skills are bound to bar 1
it even says so in the chat window, something like: Weapon Set 1 saved
or if you bind "bar 2" it says: Weapon Set 2 saved...

so something bound to "bar 1" CAN NOT be loaded into "bar 2" and vice versa
if you try to do it the chat even says, that the "wrong" bar is active and that you should swap the bars to finish the process...

like i said, for me it never worked in any other way... its exactly doing what it is supposed to do: binding a set of skills to a specific quickslot bar

edit: seriously wykkyd? for me its working that way.. i even get messages in the chat if i try to load a set i saved in BAR 1 into BAR 2.. the chat tells me to swap bars to load the set.... sets saved in bar 1 can only be loaded in bar 1 and sets saved in bar 2 can only be loaded in bar 2... thats not intentional?

atm i do it like this:

setting bar 1: skill 1 2 3 4 5 6 -> name it AOE GRINDING DMG-SET (Bar1) -> save it

than i switch bars and -

setting bar 2: skill 7 8 9 10 11 12 -> name it AOE GRINDING SUPPORT-SET (BAR2) -> save it

if i then want to do some aoe grinding i open my skill window, switch to weapon 1 and load BAR1-set
then i switch to weapon 2 and load BAR2-set... and everything works fine.. except wall of elements doesnt swap properly...

somehow i think hes trying to have both bars saved in 1 "file" somthing like

setting bar 1: 1 2 3 4 5 6 --> name it ABC --> save it

then he swaps to bar 2 and:

setting bar 2 : 7 8 9 10 11 12 --> also naming it ABC --> save it

and thinks he now can load both bars with only 1 "save file" while in fact he is overwriting hes old setting for bar 1 because he used the same name to save it....

like i said do it like this:

swap to bar 1, set your skills. name it ABC (BAR1) and save it
swap to bar 2, set your skills, name it ABC (BAR2) and save it

now u have 2 saves.. one for bar 1 and one for bar 2. if u want to load them switch to the specific bar and load the set....

No, none of that is normal behavior. I have not seen that happen, nor am I able to re-create the issue at this time. I'm working on addons right now to re-write them all. You can TRY re-installing a fresh copy of Framework & Outfitter (including deleting your SavedVariables/mhFramework and mhOutfitter files) and see if that fixes it. Otherwise wait for the new version and hopefully that will resolve your issues. Sorry :/

Re: Re: 2nd Action bar

You have to save, swap weaponsets, save. It can't read a bar that isn't active. That is a limitation of the game client's default API.

Identical Weapon Bug.

If you save an equipment set with two identical weapons one in each set slot (for example my heal set uses two identical staves of sanctuary) it behaves strangely.

The relevant lua section is:

Code:
["Heal"] =
{
   [4] = [[4733343694223048704]],
   [20] = [[4733343694223048704]],
},
What happens is if you have no weapons equipped it works fine. If you have any other weapons equipped when you load the gear set, it will only replace one of the weapons but not the other.

You have to save, swap weaponsets, save. It can't read a bar that isn't active. That is a limitation of the game client's default API.

if you have duplicate items you are able to save the Item Set but when you try and equip it, it will only equip one of the items. I speak of for instance when dual wielding weapons and you have 2 of the same item.
