Memento Bar (Replaced by: Collection bars)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.7.0.1
by: Jarth [More]
Note: I made a new addon (CollectionBars) to replace thisone, so i don't plan to update/maintain this addon.

This addon will allow you to show mementos on a hotbar and execute them by clicking on the corresponding image.

The addon can be customized through settings (/mb).

5 hotkeys have been added, to use them:
  1. Set hotkeys 1-5 (for each character) under controls
  2. Hover a memento on the bar
  3. While hovering, press the hotkey (the selection is stored based on account settings)
  4. Now you can execute click with the assigned hotkey.
INFO: The binding will be removed, if the memento is hidden.
INFO: After updating a keybinding, /reloadui or flip a setting in either: Orientation, Visibility or Position and Size.
INFO: The addon utilizes "LibJarthSharedBase".

- Added checkbox to hide the cooldown

- Known issues:
-- The initial cooldown shown is from the previous casted collectableId
-- Cannot execute mementos that require a target (Possible solution: Don't include them in the list, till there are hotkeys available)

Version 0.8 (17-12-2017)
- Known issues:
-- The initial cooldown shown is from the previous casted collectableId
-- Cannot execute mementos that require a target (Possible solution: Don't include them in the list, till there are hotkeys available)

One of the goals with the addon were to make it dynamic, so i didn't have to update it when a new memento got added. I also wanted to allow users to show as many/few memento's as they wished.

I would like to add dynamic keybindings for each, and for each show what key to press.
But i have not found a way to add dynamic keybindings, and at this time i don't wan't to restrict/set the number of icons, or hardcode specific memento's.

At this time i won't be adding hotkeys to the bar.
But feel free to take that idea and make one of your own.

With AUI you press hotkeys to switch to the item on that bar you want to use, then press a key to actually use it (the "drink/use" key tied into the 8 slot wheel you use to drink a potion).

Each item on that bar has its own hotkey. Then the drink/use key is pressed once item has been selected with the item's hotkey.

Thanks for the feedback.

I see the point with AUI, they decided that 10 would be enough and added 10 bindings for users to modify.
To me the number restriction makes sense here. Personally i never use those keybinding, but i guess it would make sense if you were in a rush to change.

In my experience, you "have to" stand still to use memento's (or the animation won't always start/execute) and there is no particular rush to get it cast..
It is far easier to use the "Toggle In-Game Cursor", and press it. Thereby giving your character a chance to settle before casting.

As said before, it might make sense to add keybindings at some point, but i don't see any need for it now.
(Especially not when it is "only" a single bar with memento's on it. )

First, thanks for this great addon.

But how exactly do you use Memento Bar keybinds? I set them in the options but they're not working at all, and the keybinds labels never appear on the bar, whatever settings I choose.

Thanks, glad you like it.

It is a bit tricky, i updated the addon info.

5 hotkeys have been added, to use them:
  1. Set hotkeys 1-5 (for each character) under controls
  2. Unlock the mouse with "Toggle In-Game Cursor"
  3. Hover a memento on the bar
  4. While hovering, press the hotkey (the selection is stored based on account settings)
  5. Now you can execute click with the assigned hotkey.
INFO: The binding will be removed, if the memento is hidden.
INFO: After updating a keybinding, /reloadui or flip a setting in either: Orientation, Visibility or Position and Size.

I decided against updating the bar automatically whenever a key is changed, as i don't expect for that to happen often, for each character.

A nice addon. I would find it super useful though if you could add a setting, which would make the bar visible in the "cursor mode" only. That would be great.

Sounds good, and interesting idea.
There might be an event to listen to, or possible toggle with a hotkey.
Though as i recall, it would take some rewriting, so we will see.

edit: LovelyEmotes addon had this feature previously but was removed. It was in v1.5, author might be able to help with it

edit2: also would be nice if we could set the countdown font size (or just completely hide the cooldown) because right now I can make the icons really small but the cooldown fonts on it stay the same size.
