Wykkyd Suite Manager takes all of the Advanced Setting Controls listed below and provides then in the Settings Menu as a GLOBAL feature. Each of the options below are split up into individual sections of the Wykkyd Suite Manager's settings menu, and each of them affects ALL of your Wykkyd addons intelligently (those that you have turned on).

Advanced Setting Controls (available in all Wykkyd Addons)
  • Save To Default - This feature saves a snapshot of your logged in character's CURRENT settings as a save set named SYSTEM DEFAULT.
  • Load System Default - This loads the current SYSTEM DEFAULT as your character's settings and effectively sets your character to MIMIC the SYSTEM DEFAULT. This behaves exactly like Mimic below, with the exception that the SYSTEM DEFAULT only ever changes when you manually save to it from any character, by clicking Save To Default.
  • Mimic... - This sets the current logged in character to adopt the settings of another character until this value is changed. This causes the logged in character's saved settings to reset every time you log in or Reload UI to be like the mimic'ed character. If you set George to mimic Bob, as you save settings on Bob while playing those settings will become George's settings too whenever you log into George. As you play George and change his settings manually, those changes become temporary unless you clear the Mimic box. This affords some fairly awesome opportunities for your play sessions.
  • Wykkyd's Preferences (where available) - This will Reload UI and set your active character to the basic settings that Wykkyd uses for that addon for his characters as his STARTING point, he customizes each character from there and you are encouraged to also do so.
  • Reset All - Resets all settings inside the Advanced Setting Controls section for that addon, for that character

Use of SYSTEM DEFAULT allows you to basically create system-wide default settings. I say "system" because these settings are not filtered by account name. So if three people share your computer, they all adopt the system defaults (if they selectively choose to do so). This is a "neat trick" for people with multiple accounts as it lets you share settings across all of them.

For example, if you log into your first character and set every Wykkyd addon up the way you want. Then in each you click "Save To Default", one by one. You've now established your "baseline", if you will. You can then log into each character you have (regardless of number of accounts), including that same first character, and inside each, in each addon, click "Load System Default". Now every single character will use the same settings. In fact, because you saved defaults from character 1 and then set character 1 to use those same defaults, even that character is inheriting the SYSTEM DEFAULT every single time it loads. This means if you're on character 7 and decide to change your default for all, all you have to do is tweak your settings and click "Save To Default" and every single character you set up this way gets those settings automatically.

WARNING: System Default, and Mimic, can be dangerous. As of this time this ALSO includes saved item sets, gear sets, quest header settings, tracked achievements... IE: it includes data saved by the addons too. THIS WILL BE CHANGING IN THE FUTURE to be more intuitive and robust. But I didn't want to delay this feature until that was 100% polished. After all, this is fairly useful as is.

REQUEST:

Remove libstub dependencies, if exist. Libstub are very deprecated and causing problems with other addons.

Also, if using LibAddonMenu (in embedded form), dont. Change calls to LibAddonMenu in separate.

(sorry my poor english speech)

Major errors today after I got back from Xmas holidays and tried to log in.

I have turned off Enhanced Chat and Enhanced HUD and that seems to have fixed it for now.

Mine doesn't work either. I saved all to default on my main, and it creates it's little profile, but when I try to load anything on my alts, it doesn't take.

I tried manually loading each one at a time, zip. It pops the name of the char it's mimicking in automatically for me, so I see it trying but it doesn't actually read or pull the settings.

Re: Bug report!

Actually, several bugs and/or dissatisfactions with Suite Manager. Each bug has been reported in the affected wykkyd LUA comments, as requested; this is a summary, so to speak ...

When selecting the "Use System Defaults" option in Suite Manager, the option should reset any and all Mimic settings and variables for ALL modules within the affected wykkyd package; Gaming Suite or Framework. It doesn't!

When using Suite Manager from Wykkyd's Gaming Suite:

At login, a second character does not pick up the System Default settings for the: Toolbar, Questing Tracker, and Compass in Full Immersion.

When zoning from one area to another, a second character does not pick up the Compass settings in Full Immersion. It may not pick up any Full Immersion settings, but the Compass is a visible indication that something is worng (sp? on purpose) with the System Default settings.

I had the same thing occur. The NewCharacter was set to Mimic a VetCharacter. However, the VetC started mimicking changes I made to the NewC. Reset all did not fix it.

FIX: you have to go into each wykkyd addon and highlight+delete the name of the mimiced character on both the NewC and the VetC. One at a time.

I have the same problem, I mimicked Char1 on Char2 and he got all Settings included all Weapon and Skill sets.
I went on Char2 created a new set of equipment, made new keybindings and now all is copied-overwritten on Char1 too. I tryed to reset manaylly several times but I had to re instate old files to make stuff work normal.

Reset

Hello. Great add-on, btw. Been using framework since the first week of the game. Just thought you'd like to know about a problem I've been having, or maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

I came back from a break from ESO recently and found that this add-on was now a collection of several add-ons, so I put them in and tweaked the settings to how I liked them from before when I was using it. That went fine until I went to one of my alts and decided I would try out the mimic feature. I thought it was just a quick way to load up settings from another character, I didn't realize it would cause the two characters to literally mimic each other's settings changes. The only difference is I didn't want the alt to have the research timers on the bar.

So I hit the reset button on the alt. It seemed to reset like it said it was going to but now the alt and my main's settings are still being mimicked. If I change a setting on one of them, it happens on both. I've used the reset on each of them and it doesn't seem to help.
