FCO GuildInfo  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 2.44
by: Baertram [More]
IMPORTANT CHANGE - Version 2.0
This addon depends on the following libraries:
-LibLoadedAddons

Please inform yourself before posting comments again and again:
FAQ / Frequently asked questions / Questions fréquemment posées / Oft gefragte Frage

Attention:
You can manually download the standalone libraries from the links above.
-> Be sure to check the extraction of the zip files! They must NOT create another subfolder in AddOns containing the name of the zip archive itsself! Example:
zip filename: LiBStub_v1_4.zip
Extracted to:
AddOns\LibStub_v1_4\LibStub -> WRONG!
Extracted to:
AddOns\LibStub -> CORRECT!

Or use Minion to download them.

You may need to close and restart the game to recognize the new libraries in the addon manager!

Additional information about libraries and why I have changed my addons to use standalone, and not included libraries anymore, can be found in the general FAQ

FCO GuildInfo

Shows your current guild(s) members online/total inside the tooltip of a new added icon in your minimized/maximized chat window!
The guild names (tooltip)/guild ids (text label display mode) will be shown with the message text color of the addon pChat, which you have set (if you are using pChat), or with the standard ESO text color of your guilds.

Current layout possibilites are:
1. Show an icon + tooltip
2. Show text label + tooltip

You are able to control the addon via chat commands:
/fcogi or /fcoguildinfo <parameter>

<parameter> can be:
  • h or help or hilfe or aide: Show the possible chat commands ingame
  • dm or displayMode: Change the used display mode between icon or text label
  • lm or labelMove: Toggle the movement possiblity of the text label on/off
  • lmr or labelMoveReset: Reset the position of the text label to the standard and anchor them to the chat window again
  • sc or startupChat: Show the current online/total guild members in the chat as you start the game/do a ReloadUI
  • cp or chatParent: You are able to "unparent"/"parent" the text label from/to the chat window. This way you are able to put the label somewhere else on the screen for the minimized chat or the maximized chat, without having the label fading out too if the chat fades out.
  • io or iconOffset <x>: Move the icon on the x-axis to the left (x<0) or to the right (x>0). Please enter a value between -200 and 500 (Standard = 2). The icon display mode must be active!")

Re: icon-mode vs. text-mode

Working on a fix now.

Edit:
The guildIds were only numbers from 1 to 5 in the past.
Now the guildIds are unique ids server or even world wide and thus they are shown this way.
I'll change them to be 1 to 5 again.

It seems, that the guild-IDs are displayed. I remember, that it was not like this before Elsweyr.

Thanks a lot for having a look at it.

The guild data totally changed with Elsweyr because of the new guild finder. I guess this is the reason. Need to check this, thanks for the hint.

Edit:
Found the problem.
The guildId can be much higher than before and thus some checks against guildId < numGuilds was wrong. Fixing it soon.

I couldn't remember offhand which addon implemented it. I do use FCO Notes, so that's the one.

I typically use the hotkey for the guild interface as well; it just seemed logical to have the icon open the interface if it wasn't too much work to implement. Thanks for adding it!

Sounds good, I'll implement it later.
I'm just pressing the "G" key to open the guilds panel so I forgot about the mouse

I already have an addon that automatically takes me to the guild roster tab if I open the guild interface anyway.
Sounds like FCO Notes e.g. :-)

Clicking the mail icon opens mail, clicking the friends icon opens the social panel, and the same goes for the notifications icon. Seems logical that the FCOGI icon would do the same.

Oh right, never thought about this constellation.
I need to check if the pChat option for this is available too so I can check it.

Edit:

Code:
/fcogi io <x>
where x is the offset of the icon in the chat window. Standard value = 2.
Min value = -200, max value = 500

If you want to change it please do it locally in your version ;-)
Ok, no problem, but might I suggest a constant variable for that value then? so I'm sure it is set in all cases (as far as I can tell it's at 4 places in the code, right?)
