Wykkyd Full Immersion allows you to hide default game windows such as the Compass, Quest Tracker(s) and even the Targetting Reticle. All settings are configured via the ESC > Settings > Addon Settings menu.

Features
  • Auto-Sheath weapon out of combat
  • Auto-Show helm during combat
  • Keybind-able helmet toggle
  • Smart-Hide targetting reticle
  • Hide the quest window, compass, Alert window and more
  • Add Subtitles to your screen (fully configurable)
  • Completely overhaul your COMPASS
    • Unlock the compass to make it moveable
    • Lock the compass horizontally to keep it centered
    • Hide the Tip/Legend text over top of the compass
    • Hide the Compass background
    • Scale the entire Compass
    • Scale the Tip/Legend text
    • Set the Compass Height/Width
    • Set the Compass Opacity

Advanced Setting Controls (available in all Wykkyd's Addons)
  • Save To Default - This feature saves a snapshot of your logged in character's CURRENT settings as a save set named SYSTEM DEFAULT.
  • Load System Default - This loads the current SYSTEM DEFAULT as your character's settings and effectively sets your character to MIMIC the SYSTEM DEFAULT. This behaves exactly like Mimic below, with the exception that the SYSTEM DEFAULT only ever changes when you manually save to it from any character, by clicking Save To Default.
  • Mimic... - This sets the current logged in character to adopt the settings of another character until this value is changed. This causes the logged in character's saved settings to reset every time you log in or Reload UI to be like the mimic'ed character. If you set George to mimic Bob, as you save settings on Bob while playing those settings will become George's settings too whenever you log into George. As you play George and change his settings manually, those changes become temporary unless you clear the Mimic box. This affords some fairly awesome opportunities for your play sessions.
  • Wykkyd's Preferences (where available) - This will Reload UI and set your active character to the basic settings that Wykkyd uses for that addon for his characters as his STARTING point, he customizes each character from there and you are encouraged to also do so.
  • Reset All - Resets all settings inside the Advanced Setting Controls section for that addon, for that character

Use of SYSTEM DEFAULT allows you to basically create system-wide default settings. I say "system" because these settings are not filtered by account name. So if three people share your computer, they all adopt the system defaults (if they selectively choose to do so). This is a "neat trick" for people with multiple accounts as it lets you share settings across all of them.

For example, if you log into your first character and set every Wykkyd addon up the way you want. Then in each you click "Save To Default", one by one. You've now established your "baseline", if you will. You can then log into each character you have (regardless of number of accounts), including that same first character, and inside each, in each addon, click "Load System Default". Now every single character will use the same settings. In fact, because you saved defaults from character 1 and then set character 1 to use those same defaults, even that character is inheriting the SYSTEM DEFAULT every single time it loads. This means if you're on character 7 and decide to change your default for all, all you have to do is tweak your settings and click "Save To Default" and every single character you set up this way gets those settings automatically.

WARNING: System Default, and Mimic, can be dangerous. As of this time this ALSO includes saved item sets, gear sets, quest header settings, tracked achievements... IE: it includes data saved by the addons too. THIS WILL BE CHANGING IN THE FUTURE to be more intuitive and robust. But I didn't want to delay this feature until that was 100% polished. After all, this is fairly useful as is.

Question:

Out of curiosity, and don't take this as me trying to be anything other than curious, but what is the purpose of this addon having the ability to remove the Quest Tracker when you can turn it off in Settings>Interface?

Does it do something other? (in terms of the quest tracker?)

Nope. It's just another way to do it.

Is there any chance your mod could be toggled on/off with a key binding? It would be great for taking screenshots.

You can already set a default keybind for hiding the entire UI.

Any chance, in future updates, to unlock the frames and move them where i want, or also hide like your addon already done?

Repositioning the default UI is out of the scope of this addon. Could it be done at some point in the future? I'm sure it could. Will it be this addon? Not likely. It could even be me that writes it, but it won't be this addon.

I've gotten a lot of communication from different areas/sites asking me to turn this into a way to move standard UI elements around, etc.

So I will be creating a UI Manager addon in the coming weeks and this functionality will eventually roll into that addon. Stay tuned for more.

I was absolutely thrilled to find this AO. I cannot thank you and any associates enough.

I fell slave to Gopher's iHUD mod for Skyrim. While I realize we cannot duplicate it completely, or maybe it is possible.. IHNI, I humbly request these options.
1- Key binding for a toggable compass that is completely clear of any icons, markers or red dots. Or even better... for the masses. Allow all of the compass features to be hidden independently of each other.
2 - Several options for the crosshair to automatically come up when...
a - Any weapon drawn
b - Bow drawn
c - Staff drawn
d - hovering over an item / corpse / container
and fade when they are sheathed or turned away.
3 - Hide the stealth indicator eye.
Amazing work! Thank you so much.

please implement the following functionality:

- the ability to map the enable/disable compass functionality to any key desired. So that players can toggle the compass on/off while playing the game without having to open any menus whatsoever.

THANKS

I plan on it. I'm fixing War Tools right now and then I have a few graphical enhancements to Quest Tools (which are small and simple). After that I plan to dig into a quick private pet project and then revisit Full Immersion. The profile system I plan to build will address your concerns.

It seems there were some changes to the crosshair in the last patch notes .18 (?).

Is there any conflict with this current version of the AO?

Nice Addon Wykkyd. Is there any chance you can add keybindings for the different functions. I would love to be able to toggle the compass when I need it, without having to go through menus.

edit: ignore me... I just saw that morpha already requested that feature and that you are already planning it

My local version has that feature right now. I'm going to add a few other neat, small features tonight and if everything goes well I'll have an update before I go to sleep
