Guild Sales Master for Master Merchant  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: Release 1.8.3
by: dopiate, hawkeye1889
Guild Sales Master for Master Merchant 1.8.2

Use the built in filter for the program to load and run faster!

A HUGE thanks to Philgo68 for making this release 1.x happen.
I want to thank him for contributing a much better parsing routine to this project!

This addon will let you view all salea from all the guilds you belong to.

This includes:
  • Being able to see ALL the sales for a specific day.
  • Being able to see all sales of an item on a specific day or multiple days
  • Being able to see sales per guild member on a specific day or multiple days
  • Day selection has been unlocked
  • Export Items search results to csv
  • Support for multiple accounts! (2 max)
  • All columns are sort-able.
(see example below)

Check an item for current prices and where it's selling very easily!

You can unzip it and run it from anywhere. (I suggest you leave it in the root of "live" and make a shortcut.)

If you select !All Members be prepared to WAIT, the sheer amount of data is a bit overwhelming :-)

All sales in a specific guild

All sales by a specific member (myself as the example) over a date range

All sales of a specific item over a date range

You can run the program from anywhere you want. It does not take up LUA memory and it does not write to the hard drive at all. It does not save data.

You will find the program in your Addon's folder.

From there you can move the program anywhere you want. I suggest you create a shortcut to the file so updates are easier.

-d
Release 1.6.3 - MINOR changes and it works perfectly with Master Merchant 3.0

Release 1.8.2 - fixed a data import error which could cause some items to show up incorrectly

Release 1.8.1 - changed the PPU shown depending if its over 1000 gold it rounds up so sorting is useful for high priced items
---------------- changed the location of the filter so it loads on the center of the screen
---------------- changed the look of the program (just cosmetic)

Release 1.8 - added an option to filter out dates (will make searching and loading faster!)
-------------- If you use this filter then 0 = all data, any other number will be the filter (I use 10 days for example)
-------------- by default the filter is set to 0 (load all data)

Release 1.7.1 - Fixed small errors not noticed on release 1.7
Release 1.7.1 - Cleaned up some report formatting

Release 1.7 - All exporting of report enabled!

Release 1.6.1 - small fixes to exporting
Release 1.6 - Export for Item Results

You can now export Item searches to a CSV file.

You can not yet do this with User searches.

Release 1.5 .2 - further fixes for stability
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can run the program from anywhere you want. It does not take up LUA memory and it does not write to the hard drive at all.

You will find the program in your Addon's folder.

From there you can move the program anywhere you want. I suggest you create a shortcut to the file so updates are easier.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

older changes:

Release 1.1 - bug fix with Kiosk always coming up false now fixed.
Release 1.2 - fixed a bug created buy the 1.1 fix
Release 1.3 - fixed a bug where crafting recipes were not getting colored and sorted properly.
Release 1.4 - fixed a bug where you could not move the windows during startup/sorting
Release 1.5 - fixed a long standing bug where not all sold items were listed
Release 1.5 - fixed a long standing bug where not all the guild members were listed
Release 1.5 .1 - fixed a bug where the program would crash soon after loading items

You have errors because this only works with Master Merchant 2.2.0? (the file marked as 2.2.1) The version 2.3.1 has a bug in it that will make it not work properly.

Again all this mod needs to do is use LibHistoire directly and it would be fine because the author would just put the sales output form LibHistoire in the format he wants for his EXE.

Minion

How do you install it from Minion? Minion only shows the old version, https://esoui.com/downloads/info822-...rMerchant.html

No it was that MM would pass the information to the mod. Which is the identical procedure using LibHistoire.

MM is not optimized at all and takes far too long as it is to process one event. It probably took anywhere from three to four seconds previously and I've been able to get it down to maybe half that hopefully.

When your processing 10 days of Records it really shouldn't take a half an hour or more to do so. I really can't have Master Merchant being a conduit or library for other mods.

Again that's the intention of LibHistoire.

Re: Re: working towards a solution

So if he currently reads master merchant saved data, and you are no longer saving master merchant data but using libhistoire, then it seems like maybe he is trying to read stuff that is no longer there. Maybe that is why it is not working so well for me, aside from the error I get when I try to run it. (It will sill run but there are problems.)

Thanks again.
I do not recommend reading the MM data files as I will be changing them, and I do not like to make change logs and document stuff. That really isn't done with TES5Edit either. So rather then start a lot of work, only to alter it, just use Libhistoire as it is designed to obtain the sales data from the library like MM 3.x is doing and store it however you want. That way you control the output and don't have to make changes and conversion routines if something changes.

Libhistoire has example code that is sufficient on the description page.

Your Lua code porbably works already, only that you have most likely 7 routines and you only need one. That was the issue with MM. After I added the code to watch for information from Libhistoire, I just passed it to the one routine that was responsible for recording the sales. The rest, as I have time, will all get removed eventually. It was a good system with the server worked differently but things have changed.

Or better yet, since the Libhistoire format will most likely not change, you could read his file instead. Sirinsidiator just uses tables for things like seller name and such so it should be fairly straightforward, and Sirinsidiator may even explain it if you ask.

That was a good review of the intent of the program. When I would get sales info, it was from all guilds for all sales apparently. I am interested in being able to filter out my own data, export it, and put it into spreadsheets. I am kind of doing that to some extent for inventory monitoring with craftbag save. This addon potentially gives me data on a guild by guild basis for my own sales. Sadly, I could not seem to filter out all but my own sales.

I find that I use the program in a different way than you. The problem with looking at guild sales as a whole is I do not know the criteria guildmates ise for choosing their prices. Generally, I look at my own historical data for each guild for an item. Through use of filters and such, this was relatively easy until the program stopped working for me about a year ago.

Why do it that way? Well, I price most resource items, for example, based on previous sales performance over a set interval. So, if my iron ingots sold within ten days, the next time I post them, I post them at a higher price, usually 10% but I have other factors worked in too (like how long have I gone up and then down on the same price without movement in one direction). Anyway, if the item does not sell after the period, I reduce the price by 10 percent and restock it.

I do not know if the people making sales in a guild were trying to unload an item very quickly, have any pricing strategy at all, etc. I know if I see a sale, that at least a sale was made at that price, but maybe I can make more if I am willing to wait 10 days. I want to sell to the highest paying customer over a ten day period, so I am not interested in just any sale. I do not want to leave money on the table. On the other hand, I want stuff to move ... And I do not want it to move so fast that I only play stock my vendor when I play ESO!

Also, I might not know if it was a fraudulent sale for purposes of manipulation or maybe to meet a sales quota. We have a decent sized economy in ESO but not so large that it is impossible to manipulate in the short run.

So I trust my own data first, and guild wide data second, and TTC data last, and I trust all of them for different things. I trust TTC a little more when buying stuff depending on how fresh the data is for an item.

The way I used to use this program I used to be able to factor out whatever I wanted, For some reason, it just will not seem to filter like it used to. I suspect that it has to do with that error, as u til that showed up, it worked fine.

Hi, sorry to hear you are getting an error I will look into that. I haven't seen this error before.

Since it works after the error let me tackle that question regarding only your sales.

This tool is designed for selling your items by figuring out the best price and what guilds to put your items in among your multiple sales guild.

For example you have some blessed thistle you need to sell.

You would pull up the item like this

[I can't seem to get images to show up in the forums anymore, odd]

Using that information you can see which guild is selling the most and you can use the other data to figure out what price to set.

Lets say you have a guild where they never buy thistle, you wouldn't see any sales and know selling it there wouldn't be your best option.

If you want to see only your sales across all your guilds, well that program exists and I'm going to try and get that working again. I'm hopeful but can't promise anything.

If you wanted to see your sales PER guild, you can do that with this tool.

Select the guild you want to view in top left drop down, then select your name from the right drop down.

If you browse through the screenshots on the main page of this addon you will see the options more clearly.

I hope that helps.

Thank you I appreciate that and all the information both you and Sirinsidiator provided.

Things have changed a lot in since the last time I played.

I was looking into that but I have a solution in the works.

I'm making the new solution MM 3.x compatible, I'm not going to test it with the older versions.

Guild Sales Master has no LUA code at all and Guild Sales Assistant only had a small LUA portion that was there only to receive the users sales from MM.

The new idea I'm working with will do away with the Guild Sales Assistant LUA completely.

Once it's completed, if you are interested I would be glad to go into depth.

Thanks again.

The new versions seem to be missing that routine, actually I think it's still there but passing bad data.

I will reach out to the new person in charge of MM and see if he's interested in helping me get this fixed.

I can't promise anything but I will reach out and see what happens.
I'm just going to delete the other post not to be disrespectful but just so that it can all be in one place and we're all on the same page.

Master Merchant doesn't look at the guild history loaded in memory anymore. Back in August when I started working on Master Merchant one of my goals was to make my own Guild cache because ZOS is not interested in the users desire to have this information.

Sirinsidiator beat me to it and his cache functions far better than mine.

The last comment I received from the UI developer for ESO, and I am paraphrasing, "we had to have a way to make a change and not completely remove the system."

These changes were done probably in 2019 if not a little earlier by the previous UI developer not the current one. Which is why the server behavior was a little bit different up until one of the more recent patches.

So you'll notice currently no new sales come from the server once you log online unless you exit the game do the login screen where you put in your password.

I don't really have any sway over what you do or what you decide but one of the things I'm really hoping for is that once enough people are using the new Master Merchant 3.x that ZOS will start allowing the server to transmit new sales and hopefully transmit older sales much quicker than they have been in the past.

I don't feel this is going to happen if people try to hold on to all of the old versions of Master Merchant or old programs that were compatible with it unless they make an important change.

Update this mod to also work with the guild history cache Libhistoire.

That is the purpose of the whole thing anyway. One cache and you can have 10 programs accessing the same data, instead of 10 individual sales mods hammering the server for information and causing ZOS to throttle back the guild sales so badly that nobody can function.

I'm not saying this as a hypothesis or it could happen, I'm saying this as an observation of what is happening. No new sales currently come through while you are online.

Will that change I don't know I'm not in control of that and the game developers do not want to talk to me, at least the ones that would have the information we need.

In order to get the library to pull the sales from the cache is super easy. Although the author of the library is not going to do the work for you, he is more than happy to assist people in understanding how to pull the information from the cache.

Sirinsidiator has been making improvements to his already efficient cache. On my i3 lynnfield 4GB of ram potato, I was able to process about 11 to 12 days of data in what I thought was 20 to 25 minutes. So I had a mandatory 20 minute lock on the Master Merchant window. This was to eliminate fps drop and performance issues.

I was able to make changes that have reduced the same test to under 10 minutes, on the same potato.

My current goal for MM is to optimize everything I can. The sorting of 300,000 to 1M sales will never be fast but if I can improve that I will. So I am disinterested in having MM processing data for external mods when they can access Libhistoire directly and store the data however they want.

One of the other big reasons using Libhistoire is so important is that it stores data more then ten days. Once you have 10 days of history stored, you never need to scan back that far again. This will be a huge benefit for not only the user (because it saves time) but a huge reduction is server traffic.

application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Guild Sales Master is working again

Guild Sales Master is a stand alone addon that can be used at anytime to research sales in the guilds you belong to.

It does not have to stay in the addons folder, it will run just fine from your desktop.

It gathers all the sales data from Master Merchants SavedVariables and organizes it so you can see where items are selling and for what prices.

I personally find it invaluable.

I know the GUI looks like a 1998 high school project but under the hood it gets things done.

Find patterns and wild price differences between products and sales guilds.

Give it a try, it can help you make more gold.

enjoy!

There is a key in the registry for saving your saved var folder location and some other data. I should have included a button to remove it but time got away from me.

Here is what you do - open your registry (start->run->regedit)

go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\

find the entry for CacheMast and delete that entry - it will then prompt you next time you open the program.

Cache Master was the original name - the name changed, the name of the reg key didn't.

Is GSM still working? I assume it is, it doesn't use any .lua files and doesn't even need the game running to work or even be in the Addons folder, so if it's broken then .... idk, would have to think about what the issue could be.
