Crafting Preview (Armor)  Updated this week!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.8
by: Shinni [More]
This addon previews the currently selected armor at the crafting station.
In the PC UI it is also possible to select a neutral environment, so the lighting near the crafting station doesn't matter.
# 1.8
- the tooltip is now movable
- added color information

# 1.7
- compatible with the CC update

# 1.6
- compatible with the HotR update

# 1.5
- compatible with the Morrowind update
- added preview of different color schemes

# 1.4
- fixed alignment issues in the german version

# 1.3
- compatible with FurniturePreview

# 1.2
- removed preview from the woodworking station as shields aren't really armor and thus can not be previewed with the current API.

# 1.1
- fixed a bug where after visiting the crafting station a second time, every second crafting selection would not be displayed.

# 1.0
- initial release

Will definately give this a try

Great idea, not installed yet, but always wanted an armour previewer.

You are a hero Works really nice!

Two things I noticed while trying this out:

1. If I have dual wield weapons equipped, shields are not previewed (haven't tried this with other weapon combinations)

2. If you use a headgear (costume), preview helmets are shown beneath the headgear and hair. My character's hair also turned white during the preview.

I also was unable to make shields show, I tried with a staff, no weapons, and lastly craft 1h and shield, still no shield preview. It seems to not work with outfits. I assume it's not meant to work for weapons (yet?)

Great addon though.

Some idea that I'm sure you've already had, and take 1000 years to code, but...

Ability to "lock" a slot, so it doesn't change, even if you swap to a different item, so you can build a look.
Recolouring items
Saving looks as a set, and loading on other characters for crafting / preview
Secretly mining bitcoin for me, coz I wanna be rich
Linking saved sets /items to chat

Love it how it is, and know a lot of that would take a lot of work

I would love an option to view the armor in the default color as well. I'm still leveling so I'm changing gear often enough that I haven't bothered dying anything (nor do I have many dyes unlocked) so I'd love to be able to see what it looks like straight out of the forge, so to speak. Otherwise, this is a brilliant mod and one that I'll really enjoy having. Thank you.

Brilliant addon, many thanks for creating it! I'd love to see this this option too as I don't like to always see the clothes in my current dyed colors.

German translation for the current option "Preview in empty world" ->
It needs to be really short as otherwise the two other options to the left (Materials + Knowledge) are somehow below the text of your new checkbox.

"Alt. Vorschau"

Abbreviation for "Alternative Preview"

Those would be awesome. Hope you can make this happen...

I've read in Furniture previewer addon's commentsection that with No, Thank You addon you can pretty much not preview anything (because of how it changes the player character behaviour during UI interaction). Is it the same with this one?

No problem with NoThankYou and CraftingPreview.

Brilliant Mod! One request, or question on how to...

i have to say, this mod is amazing. The only question i would ask if whether or not there is any way to make the previews a grey color rather than white? I looked into the script, but saw nothing on color.

Is there anyway this can be done?

THanks so much for your effort. I've favorited the app and hope you will let me know how i might get a metal/grey color rather than white, if it's at all possible.

Cheers!
