WARNING: this addon is beta. It's full of bugs and errors can happen. Don't use it during critical times (raids, etc).


This addon was made to support my personal inventory management workflow, but it might be useful for other people as well... so here it is.

(Well, there's a reason why it's still in beta...)

This is part of a bigger rework, some internal things are being refactored and moved around.
Please log in to each of your characters once to refresh the database.
If something is broken please report it to me in the ESOUI forum.

  • Lock/Unlock option is now hidden when "Enable ingame item lock" is turned off in FCOIS settings
  • added keyboard shortcut to open inventory assistant without grabbing keyboard focus
  • changed auto show set holdings toggle to SHIFT key
    if you mouseover in ingame inventory and guild stores (and possibly other locations as well) while pressing SHIFT key
    and inventory assistant window is also open the search text will be replaced with the set name of the item the mouse is over
  • bugfix: removed ^F/^M from set names and bag names that were displayed in some non-english languages

  • added support for locked items - you need to log in to every character once to refresh to add the lock state to the stored data
    ZOS API only allows locking/unlocking items in your bank or current character's bag or storage chests (only when you're in your house)
    items on other characters will be queued for locking/unlocking and it will happen the next time you log on to that character
    (this is still experimental, please report any bugs related to this in forum)

  • added feature to show set holdings on mouseover in ingame inventory and guild stores (and possibly other locations as well) if inventory assistant window is also open
    this feature works by replacing the search text with the set name of the item the mouse is over; it can be turned on/off in settings
  • Itemization Browser integration: when inventory assistant window is open it will show set holdings of the set currently selected in Itemization Browser window

Send you a screenshot so I got 1715ms vs your 740ms overall. (yes I got lots of items and chars and bank and chests etc).

I have no idea of programming but I don't think that over 16 ms causes stuttering already I notice maybe >100ms so I woud suggest to NOT load the bank and House chests right after each other. Maybe even split the bank in 2 parts (BAG_SUBSCRIBER_BANK and BAG_BANK are 2 different things anyway) and load at least the 60 slot house chests as 1 item each?

I shure woud not prefere to make the loading screen longer I'd rather have a small lagg when I open the window lol!

I'll need to look into that more. I'm loading data in chunks already using libasync, because for each item there are quite a lot of API calls to be made to get the details (in the file I only save the itemlink plus minimal extra data). Those API calls go back to native code from LUA and some of them are slow.

A major refactoring I'm working on is to preload the data during loading screen and then subscribe to "realtime" inventory change events -- but for some reason they are not fired reliably and sometimes the IA database goes out of sync and still requires a rescan.

As soon as I can figure that out, hopefully stuttering will go away (or rather, reduce a bit more).

I don't have much time lately to work on this addon due to my work... hopefully from mid-september/october I'll be able to catch up on things.

edit: I'm used to develop massively concurrent multithreaded apps, and the ESO lua limitations cause me a lot of headaches... Hard for me to try to think in single threaded code which seems to be locked to the same thread as the UI so if an event hander runs long then it causes frame skips... Need to try to learn and adjust my thinking.

Ah no, I guess its another addon then, no idea. Anything about the shutter I get when openeing the addon thought? My SavedVariables are only 1748kb can't take so long to load that and take so much resources that the game shutters?

My addon does not add details to item tooltips. If you rename a character the character's unique id does not change, as far as I know, so after a reloadui the new name should be displayed.

Do you also see duplicates within the Inventory Assistant window?

Wonder if you coud add an option to remove 1 char so when I delete or rename one I can also remove his database. Recently had to rename 1 char and in the tooltips he now shows up twice, or is that another addon?

Currently all items in the bank are automatically showing the FCOIS lock (in addition to the in-game lock) after a reload ui or loging in, even though I only use the in-game lock. It's fine when I look in the bank inventory itself, only shows up in the Inventory Assistant window. I have always had the lock icon disabled under FCOIS settings. This was not happening before the Wolfhunter patch.

I apologize! Just found a setting that I changed by mistake on FCOIS that was marking the gear automatically.

No errors for me but when I open the addon I get some shutter in the game this was before patch too, I guess I got too many items it has to load. (15 chars all max bagslots)

Love the addon!

Just wondering if there is a way to export the inventory list to say, a text file or excel file so that I could look at it without being in ESO.

Keep up the great work, has made my inventory management sooo much easier. Thanks again.

can this addon alert me with a big fat text on screen + loud sound if my inventory is over a certain treshhold? Im a pretty forgetful person and I sometimes forget to check how full my inventory is before doing raids or dungeons. It sucks not being able to pick up everything just because I forgot to clear out inventory. (maybe my subconsciousness keeps me from remembering to check inventory because it knows how much I hate managing it, so perhaps some sort of self defense against that experience... but it only postpones the inevitable and its bad when it happens in those inopportune times).

Just started using it and I love it already. One request would be to have a setting toggle for turning off guild banks. I want to use the addon to track my personal account storage (bank / house storage / character bags, etc.). While I know some ppl do have a completely private guild bank for personal storage, I do not. So for me, it can be a bit cluttered and confusing to see various guild bank gearsets in my list.

This addon does not have rules to deconstruct anything automatically.
I believe the ones you quoted come from Inventory Manager.

This will be added to the next version - you will find it in the settings where all the other check box defaults can be configured.
