Palantir  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.7
by: SpellBuilder [More]
Palantir is a Heads-Up Display(HUD) for ESO that displays Player health, magicka, stamina and werewolf power bars in the center of the screen. The graphics for this addon as well as its name initially came from corresponding addon from different MMO.

This addon is not aimed to replace any existing (default or custom) player unit bars, but rather supply additional visual information, see screenshot.

By default, out of combat the bars are barely visible, while in-combat the opacity level is highly increased.

At the moment, there is almost no configurable options, but maybe in future options like bars order, position, and scale could be added.
Version 1.7:
- Updated for new API version 100013

Version 1.6:
- Updated for new API version 100012

Version 1.5:
- Added new level of frames opacity: out-of-combat, but with power lost

Version 1.4:
- Added options to change font of labels
- Changes menu options to allow 0% opacity of HUD.

Version 1.3:
- Added option to unlock window for moving

Version 1.2:
- API version bump 100011

Version 1.1:
- Added keybinding to toggle visibility of this addon.

Version 1.0:
- Initial release

Yes, I know that, and I do not see what is wrong with the code. BTW, you can simply port to another zone via WayShrine. This fixes the coordinates. No need to do full re-log.
Do you store these coordinates in the RAM? Neither did I read your source code nor do I know lua but I will give it a shot when I got time. You motivate me.
I can't find coordinates in my Palantir.lua file. If you store these variables in the RAM, why not store them in this file instead? I didn't look up the API you are using but I'm pretty sure it will use some kind of an OnLoad event. There might be a difference between the event that is getting called for logging in/travel to a shrine and reloading the UI. You might find your answer if you look up the event.
Or you store the coordinates in the Palantir.lua file.

Thanks.
There is a bug that I also observe, that if you do manually "/reloadui", then Palantir bars get ****ed up for no reason. And if I try to debug and get "actual numbers" of where is current their position, the game gives me correct numbers as if the bars are on the screen center.
But if you use Way Shrine and teleport to another map, then everything seams to get restored.

SO... for now my answer is "do not do /reloadui manually". If you don't everything seams fine.

P.S. This has nothing to do with FTC or other plugins. BTW, if you want you can check my LUIE addon. It has sort of all same features of FTC just under different cover (i.e. different styles and options).

I love this! Would it be possible to have it show only when the bars are not full, like the default UI does?

Ive been waiting for a mod such as this for a long while! Only thing i do not love about it is I cant make it completely 100% transparent out of combat, in essence, only see it when i need it. And Cant increase the font size of the numbers on the bottom of the bars. Other than that, this will be a new favorite of mine. I just hope you keep up with it.

Re: Make movable

Done.
Though you can move only Palantir top level window as a whole. The relative positions between bars are fixed.

Make movable

It would be nice to make the health, stamina and magicka frames movable. With the new feature in the game UI to adjust camera the frames are not always in a good position horizontally nor vertically.

I was in the same Kinship as Digital_Utopia, and used to play with him all the time. Thanks for bringing his legacy to ESO. I am sure he would have no objections, considering his outlook on coding.
