Simple addon that will display english names for points of interest and keeps if you play in the different language:

Keep tooltips in Cyrodiil:



Text colors and format of tooltips can be configured in the SETTINGS -> Addons Settings -> English POI Names menu. Or just use slash command /poi.

Sorry but no, items are automatically translated when using the Link to chat feature and there is a fctor of 50x in items compared to POI in difficulty to get them and in quantity.

Hello garkin, there is a small issue :

in EnglishPOINames.txt you have to replace all Libs\LibAddonMenu\ by Libs\LibAddonMenu-2.0\

Exactly, I had to take care of refresh function. Fixed in version 0.4.
By the way I have added settings, so you do not need edit souce files to change text color.

There is an issue on Cyn map.

The first time we move the mouse over an object, it appears as



then half a second after as



We must move the mouse away then go back to the object to display the correct window ( the first one )

But once this operation done, the window remains good, the desired

Maybe due to the refresh of something?

It seems that GetNumKeeps() is broken, it returns 93. Thats why I have removed names from addon.
In version 0.3 I have added keep names back.

The other way around

I was wondering if the other way around would be easy to do to?

Situation: I'm playing with the english client ,while the rest of my guild plays with the german client.

So i can't really force them all to install your Addon ,but for myself the Reverse Way would help alot with communicating to my Guild.

I checked your Lua, and it looks like if i would replace all English names with German ones, it should work?

How did you obtain the list (especially with the corresponding indexes) ?

Anyway thanks for your Work !

Update: Just found the Topic on the Forums, which looks like the solution for my Question:

To hide alliance owner, download the latest version of addon (0.2.2) and uncomment 3 lines of code in the tooltip hook function.

Find this code at the end of lua file:

  2. --   ZO_KeepTooltipLine2:SetAnchor(TOPLEFT, ZO_KeepTooltipName, BOTTOMLEFT, 0, 3)

And change it to:

Very nice!
One of the things that shoud be in the original UI. How to pvp if you don't know of what place the they are talking about or Wordboss is up and you don't know english name...
