What s the idea of this addon?
Do you want to get a better overview inside your inventory?
Did you also destroy an item you wanted to keep for higher levels, any research or just sell at the guild store?
Do you want to mark those items somehow so they are easily recognizable in your inventories?
Do you want to get an error message if you try to destroy/deconstruct/sell/trade/equip/read/use/mail/etc. any of your "special" items?
Do you want to confirm the equipping of bindable items before it gets bound to your account?
Do you use several different armor sets and want to mark each armor, weapon & jewelry item with an icon, so you can easily see and switch those sets?
Do you want to mark complete equipped items as a special set (heal, dd, tank, off-tank, quest, etc.)?
Do you want to automatically mark ornate items to select them with 1 click at a vendor?
Do you want to automatically mark intricate items to select them with 1 click at a deconstruction panel?
Do you want to automatically mark your researchable items that you need for your crafting skills (needs the addon "Research Assistant" activated)?

This addon will help you with all these points, and many more!

List of features:
  • Mark items with several icons (About 60 different icons to choose from) -> You can use keybindings to mark/unmark the icons too
  • Fully customizable icons (size, color, position, texture)
  • 4 dynamic icons - Each icon can behave different at the same panel! e.g. block an item at the deconstruction panel but allow another one.
  • Hide/Show/Only show the marked items (filter them with 4 different filters, each assigned to different icons)
  • Remember each filter state for inventories (bank, player, trade, mail, deconstruction, improvement, enchanting creation, enchanting extraction, guild store, guild bank, craft bag)
  • Right-Click/Context menus + new buttons at inventories
  • SHIFT + Right click to remove/reset all shown marker icons (reset will only work until a realoadUI was done somehow, manually or by zone change etc.!)

FCO ItemSaver was developed on base of ingeniousClowns Item Saver!
Meanwhile I've changed ALL the coding and added more icons, filters, features, removed some bugs and non wished behaviours, etc.

This addon eases the handling of your items inside your inventory, bank, player2player trading, mails, guild bank, vendors, guild stores, craft bag etc.
It will provide you 22 different icons (changeable - select from a long list of available icons) for your
inventory items which you can easily activate/remove by the right click mouse menu.
It will provide you with 5 selectable gear set (you choose the description and the icon!).
It will also provide you with the possibilities to mark complete sets at once, with/without weapons and with/without jewelry.

1st icon - Red lock: Intended to show this item as locked for later usage
2nd icon + 4th. icon - Green and light blue helmet: Intended to mark your current equipment (5 different gear sets are possible!) for an easier overview (especially at the repair stations)
3rd icon - Gray analysis icon: Intended to mark your next item(s) for reasearch
5th icon - Yellow coins: Mark item for later selling
6th icon - Another gear set 3
7th icon - Another gear set 4
8th icon - Another gear set 5
9th icon - Deconstruction
10th icon - Improvement
11th icon - Sell at guild store
12th icon - Intricate
13th - 22nd icon - Dynamic icons

In addition this addon provides you 4 filters to hide/show the marked items.
1 for locked items, 1 for the 5 equipment gears, 1 for the research/deconstruction/improvement items and 1 for selling/selling at guild store and intricate items.
You are even able to split the filter buttons, so they will remember their state for each of the above mentioned panels (inventory, crafting stations, vendors, guild stores, etc.)!

Each filter got 3 states, indicated like a traffic light: ON (green), ONLY SHOW MARKED ITEMS (yellow) and OFF (red).


How to use this addon?


Icons:
Simply right-click with your mouse on an item in your inventory/crafting station/bank/guild bank/etc. and choose one of the new "FCOItemSaver" menu entries.
Each item you enable an icon for will change the right-click menu text to the appropriate "disable" afterwards and it'll change the color of the enabled entry too.

Filters:
You are able to enable/disable the filters inside your inventory/the crafting stations/the bank/the guild bank/the trade panel/the mail panel/the vendor panel/the enchanting table creation&extraction, the craftbag and others by clicking the 4 icons at the bottom of your inventory.
Green icon: Filter is enabled. Marked items are hidden
Red icon: Filter is disabled. Marked items are shown.
Yellow icon: Filter is only showing marked items

The yellow filter will always weight more then the green filter. So enabling yellow filters will show the filter's items prior to hiding the other items only filtered with green!

You could also use chat commands to enable the filters.
If you just enter /fcois into the chat you will see a list of ALL chat commands.

'dd': Enable/Disable the deep debug mode with more details
'ddd' <value>: Set the deep debug depth. Value <value> is valid between 1 (less details) and 5 (full details)

Known bugs
-Items having the same name and level will automatically get the icons activated/deactivated if you only enable it for one of them. As the items got no unique ID and the item names are the same too, this bug comes from the ZOS developers and I can't fix this.

Several global functions exist to check if an item (determined by GetItemInstanceId(bagId, slotIndex) ) is marked by FCOItemSaver, will be currently filtered by FCOItemSaver, to change the filter at an inventory, to mark an item with a marker icon and to get the gear set texts the user specified.

Check if an item is marked and the filter for this icon is enabled

Added global function FCOMarkItem(integer bag, integer slot, integer iconId 1-22, boolean showIcon, boolean updateInventories)

The function will mark an item at position bag, slot with the icon iconId (can be 1 to 22, or -1 for ALL 22 icons) and the state showIcon (true/false).

the icon was not added to the given control for the bag and slotIndex

Return value is false?
The reason why an item is not marked could also be that you tried to mark a non equipment item (e.g. some woodworking materials) with the research (3), deconstruct (9), improvement (10), gear set 1 (2), 2 (4), 3 (6), 4 (7) or 5 (8) or intricate (12) icons. Non-Researchable icons cannot be marked with these icons!

-> After adding the icon the inventories will only be refreshed if you specify the boolean parameter updateInventories = true! This should help to avoid multiple inventory refreshs if you want to add several icons in a row.
Just set this parameter to TRUE at the very end of your icon adding so the inventories will be refreshed only once in total!

Change the filter at an inventory
Lua Code:

This function simulates a click on the filter button at the bottom of your inventory.
Marked items will be filtered/shown according to the current filter's state.
Attention: The inventory (or bank, mail, trade, guild bank, vendor ...) must be opened as the function is executed!

Check if an item is protected at the current panel
Lua Code:
  1. --Boolean parameter echo: if true the chat output or alert message will be shown if protected
  2. --Boolean parameters overrideChatOutput and overrideAlert: if true the FCOIS settings for the chat/alert messages will be overwritten so they get shown from your call

Attention
Be sure to set the last parameter "calledFromExternalAddon" to "true", otherwise it might return unwanted values!

This function will check if the current item at bagId and slotIndex is protected by any marker icon, at the current panel (mail, inventory, trade, guild bank, bank, etc.).
It will return true if the item is protected and false if not.

Fixed & Added: "Mark as junk" entry is by default visible for marked items again. A new setting in the "Anti-Destroy" settings submenu will allow you to hide this context menu entry "Mark as junk" for FCOIS marked items.

Hi wambo,

good news. I found the time to change the contextmenu of the filter buttons.
I'm able to use submenus now and put the dynamic icons, and others, in there.
It looks different from before but it's much easier now to enable all marker icons.

You're able to disbale the text right to the icons by disabling the tooltips for the filter button context menus in the settings -> filter buttons -> context menus -> tooltips

Please test the new beta version and tell me what you think:

Just installed ADCUI and I'm testing if I can support FCOIS with this addon.

Edit:
I found a way to provide FCOIS functionality in the normal inventory, if you are using ADCUI and the gamepad mode (Settings "Use controller UI" is disabled in ADCUI!!!).

But if you enable the controllerUI again FCOIS will throw error messages which I'm not able to fix.
So if you're able to live with this I can implement it.

This is what you need to do having FCOIS and ADCUI enabled:
-Start the game in gamepadmode or non-gamepad mode: Everything inside inventories should work normally for FCOIS

If you change to gamepadUI mode during gameplay and get FCOIS error messages I can't fix them. If you switch back to normal mode there shouldn't be any error message anymore.
If there will be errror messages, do a /reloadui in the chat

But for everything else the author of ADCUI needs to rebuild his code as he is overwriting some ZOs functions and I'm not able to prevent the error messages (nor I'm willing to use my game time to fix it).

Unfortunately enabling the gamepad mode will change some names of the UI stuff and the hooks that FCOIS is implementing are not working anymore afterwards.
I don't find the time to check all names and hooks and implement them for the gamepad mode as well, especially as I don't own a gamepad and the native gamepad mode is not uild to show context menus like FCOIS uses!
Check the addon comments. We just had a talk about the technical stuff some weeks ago (if you are interested).

Maybe it is different with "Advanced Disable Controller UI" but I need to hook into the game inventory, etc. as the addon loads up, and if the gamepad mode is enabled at this time (even if it is only enabled in the combat mode due to Advanced Disable Controller UI) the addon won't be able to hook properly and thus is not working correctly.
-> Normally you'd get a message to the chat that the gamepad mode is not supported but as you get this error message it seems that "Advanced Disable Controller UI" is chaging some stuff which will just throw the lua error message instead.

This may have been requested before, but I just enabled Gamepad today and using Advanced Disable Controller UI so I could keep the PC UI but utilize a controller for combat. The problem is, even though the PC UI shows as normal, it does not show anything from FCO ItemSaver. All my locks, set icons, etc are not displayed. I've instaleld Inventory Grid View and can't see what the problem is?

1. My addon FCOIS is supporting this addon and is rearranging the icon to be shown at the lower left corner of each grid entry.
2. Do you use the most up2date Inventory Grid View version? Because in the settings of IVG ther eis no positioning help to tell the addon where the normal icons should be (you had written:
when the icon position is set to bottom left).
3.
If you close it and open it a second time the icons on the top row will have moved halfway up the item
The icons at the top row are the normal item icons that are shown left or right to the item in a special column, if you are not using the addon Inventory Grid View (e.g. "Stolen item" or "New item"). So if these change the position it is definately something within Iventory Grid View. Please report this to the author "Randactyl".

-> Besides this movement of the icons does not happen for me?!
If I reopen the inventory all icons (standard game and FCOIS addon marker icons) will be in the center of the grid item for a few milliseconds and then jump to the top-left or bottom-left corner as they should do.

Never used Grid Viw, but will try it out.

Interesting, I'll look into it but did not change anything that should cause this issue. Weird.

Found the problem.
I'll add a new setting to "Disable mark as junk for marked items" which will be "deactivated" as standard.
This way you can choose if the "Mark as junk" entry in the context menu should/should not be missing in the context menu for FCOIS protected items.

Edit2 drag&drop + equip items:
Found this problem too but need to test further if fixing it will remover other protections...


Workaround to use "Mark as junk" again:
You are able to use the inventory button at the top left edge (the small flag icon) to allow marking as junk as a workaround:

Right click the flag so it is "red" = protection disabled. After this the "Mark as junk" entry is in the contetx menu again.

I'm not removing any "add to junk" context menus or keybindings.

For the automatic Junk please don't use FCOIS but addons like Dustpan where you can specify several rules like junk only non researchable stuff below level CP160 and below quality blue, etc.

I have the same problem: items with an FCOIS icon can no longer be moved to junk ("Als Trödel markieren" disappears from context menu). I have just deactivated all addons except for FCOIS, and it's definitely this addon that causes it. Only since the last update though.

Definitely the case with costume items, which I always keep locked.

Btw: no FCOIS marker icons, no protection, no messages. That's nornal

Thanks you for your addon, it really helped my to not destroy equipment by accident

Since the last update I cannot equip staffs anymore. Everytime I pull a staff from inventory to the slot I get the message

Destroying not allowed: [...]

and in the top right corner the message

FCOIS: Destroying not allowed: [...]



As a workaround I removed all FCOIS marks.
