Srendarr adds the ability to track your buffs and debuffs you cast on others, both the long-duration abilities that appear under the Character window as well as the short-term buffs that normally only show via graphical effects on your character. The aura tracking is designed to visually mesh with the standard UI theme but includes many options to change the appearance, and even more options to categorize and filter the auras that may appear including multiple display windows, groupings for auras of a similar nature and a blacklist for unwanted aura display.

As of version 2.0.0 (and above), S'rendarr uses the API changes made in late 2015 to allow for 'perfect' knowledge about aura details. All auras on the player and their target are now displayed and accurate, as is the castbar for the few abilities in game that have a cast time. The downside to this change is the occasional display of 'junk' auras you may not care about. These can be added to the included blacklist or, if you believe the aura should never be displayed, please report its name and when it appeared and it can be included in a 'never show' list built into the mod itself.

NEW GROUP BUFF TRACKING FEATURE!

New in 2.3.5 is the option to show buffs with a duration for everyone in your group or raid on their unit frames. You can either whitelist specific auras to track, or show all buffs with a duration that you don't specifically block. Full customization and positioning options, with built-in support for vanilla, Foundry Tactical Combat, and JoGroup frames.

- Added full color customization for the new aura icon timer animation.
- Added debuff support to bar color customization.
- Fixed display of Templar Spear Shards AOE. Timer now begins appropriately when the ability hits not when you start targeting.
- Fixed a bug that could cause other players' enchant or gear procs to trigger Srendarr as if it were your effect.

- Moved the options to use the new cooldown animation icon style or hide the timer bar in full mode to the individual display window tabs. Can now be configured separately for each frame.
- Changed behavior to allow buffs or debuffs whitelisted to a prominent display to go through to the normal display window set for that type of aura (if applicable) if the prominent group it was set to is not assigned to a frame. This allows you to quickly disable separating out listed buffs/debuffs without having to clear your whitelists.
- Added new frame choice option for gear procs not normally tracked by the game, and separated these from enchant procs.
- Changed behavior so whitelisted auras and debuffs will still display even if that type of ability has been otherwise hidden by filters.
- Fixed Defensive Rune tracking with proper duration for each rank.

- Solved error seen since last updates. NOTE: This will disable the ability to see fake debuffs from Srendarr which the game doesn't normally track (like Trap Beast bleed when target is stun immune) if you move your mouse off the target and back again. If you keep the target under your reticle these will still be tracked however. This is due to API limitations. The game gives no unique reference ID for targets in the game. Without getting overly technical, suffice it to say it is a trade-off and ATM it is more important to ensure people can play without errors than limited cases like the above working reliably. I may develop a more permanent workaround in the future.

Here is an option to show the AbilityID and Name of every single effect the player gains, from block to sprint fatigue to gear set procs. Enable this, and sort through the mass of information to pick out the AbilityID and Name of a proc that Srendarr should track, and post it to comments here!

UPDATE: Re-uploaded without version change. Debug mode now has spam control. Will only show ability once until /reloadui or until you type /sdbclear to reset the debug database.

Lightbulb New features and fixes...

Version 2.3.7:
  • Added full color customization for the new aura icon timer animation.
  • Added debuff support to bar color customization.
  • Fixed display of Templar Spear Shards AOE. Timer now begins appropriately when the ability hits not when you start targeting.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause other players' enchant or gear procs to trigger Srendarr as if it were your effect.
  • Fixed a bug where the aura icon cooldown animation was showing in Mini bar mode.
  • More random code improvements.

Thank you for the option to toggle the new cooldown wrap around thing off. (It was the reason I went with srendar over ftc to begin with).

I'm having an issue with the minimal display version (the name and countdown bar, no icon) where an empty black icon box still shows up in the background (partially) behind the ability name and bar.

Errors since update

Hi! I've updated Srendarr today and now I get these errors whenever I activate a buff:

Code:
1. user:/AddOns/Srendarr/AuraControl.lua:502: attempt to index a nil value
strack traceback:
user:/AddOns/Srendarr/AuraControl.lua:502: in function '(anonymous)'

2. user:/AddOns/Srendarr/CastBar.lua:103: attempt to index a nil value
strack traceback:
user:/AddOns/Srendarr/CastBar.lua:103: in function 'OnActionSlotAbilityUsed'
I also get an initialization error whenever I login or reload the UI. It worked perfectly a few days ago (the 23.). I've changed some settings (added / removed buffs from black/whitelists) but that didn't help

Currently, I've only enabled two frames: some whitelisted buffs and long lasting buffs. I've also updated LUIE today. Are there still any known bugs regarding Srendarr and LUIE?

There's a strange bug with fake auras:

This works as expected for the most part, but when you first summon the volatile familiar, the fake ground timer is longer, around 13 seconds or so? My 8.4s padded by the summoning cast time perhaps for whatever else? It will remain this longer timer, until I let the first timer run out. Now this will become an issue if I have to resummon the pet in combat, and can't let the timer run its 13s course before re-using the skill to apply the DoT component.

Edit: This is not consistent behavior, not sure when it occurs and when it does not.

That's how the fake timers have always worked for those targeted ground AoEs, works fine for Endless Hail as that's not a fake aura unlike Blazing Spear.

I've had a Blazing Spear timer for a long time now via fake auras and it's always done this. Would be great if there was a solution to mitigate this, but I'm guessing that's just how the fake auras work with the API we have.

I think that's just Crusher enchant.
No, I have no crusher enchant on my staffs, but weapon/spell damage glyphs. But you are right, it seems to be an enchantment proc; they disappeared after I have deactivated them.

Now it is another buff showing up:



I had five pieces seducer, two pieces Valkyn Scoria and willpower jewelry equipped.

By the way I think I've just found a weird bug.

You know how you have to double tap or tap and mouse click things like Blazing Spear or Endless Hail before actually casting it? For some reason first tap actually triggers Srendarr(only for Spear, tested Hail it worked fine) even if I don't actually cast it. And the worst part is, when I actually cast it, it doesn't refresh the duration. So while Srendarr shows 2 seconds left on Spear, it can actually have like 4-5-6 seconds left.

The new gear procs are showing up timers for things like Bloodspawn without me even having Bloodspawn equipped, I'm guessing it's proccing on someone else nearby.

Disabled the gear procs for now.

I think that's just Crusher enchant.

Not seeing this behavior, and there is nothing that moves the display windows for Srendarr unless you do it manually, so I don't understand how the position of the auras could change.

I probably have the same problem, i already wrote about it, but after few updates its still here When im using option to show only my debuffs, if i move camera away from target and back on it debuff disappearing. In my case its Reflective light. All works ok if i dont move camera or i enable ALL debuffs on target.

That is odd though because the only rapid maneuver ID's in the ignore list are duplicates. Someone earlier was having a problem where rapids were vanishing after casting Molten Armaments and it turned out it was because Molten is considered an offensive ability by the game because it buffs others so it was cancelling the speed buff at the game level, not the addon.

Not sure if it is the same but I use rapids all the time with the duplicates blocked and it always shows.

What rank and morph are you using?
Retreating Maneuver morph and my skill has max rank IV
