Champion Point Respec
Version: 1.1.0
by: irogue32 [More]
This addon allows you to save your current CP allocation to 10 different configuration slots and allow you to switch between Champion Point allocations with the click of a button. This is all done through a simple and easy to use UI.

Make sure you bind a key in the Controls in order to open the UI.

I could never get Superstar to do the champion points correctly. It always gave me parse errors with the text string. This addon seems a lot more straightforward to me.

I agree that an optional confirmation would be nice. When I first tried using this I wiped out all of my champion points and paid 3k gold for it.

How does the custom name option work? I was hoping that I could name each of the config slots like 'PvP DPS' or 'PvE Healer' but it seems to give the name to all 10 slots. I was afraid to try too much because of how likely I was to mess up my champion points again.

Thank you for the addon.

It's not only saving CPs but skills as well if you like to.

I'm going to advertise the hell out of this addon :P

It worked flawlessly

One feature it would be nice to have would be like a pre-confirmation if want to change cp AND that will cost 3k gold (like the one that appears on the cp normal interface when u select to apply the cp) and some kind of confirmation that the cp was changed successfully

Once again thanks for your work and keep going!!

A few other notes:

The buttons at the bottom don't change names when you save a name to a CP setup.

If you want to add more possible configurations, you can reorganize the saved variables table. I'd suggest changing the name of Defaults[11] to (e.g.) Defaults["Custom Names"], or better yet add that name into the table of each configuration (probably under the key ["Name"]).

You also have LibAddonMenu bundled with your addon, but you're not actually using it. I'd suggest removing it if you don't have any plans to add a settings menu, though one option which might be useful is having the window automatically open when you go to the game's CP screen.

Also, it looks like you create a lot of the controls for the CP in just a long list of code. I'd suggest using a loop, and then saving them all into a table, rather than giving each one a unique name. It would be much easier to maintain, and you'd probably be able to drop about 400 lines of code. You might also want to consider creating an XML file and use virtual controls.

Finally, in the updateUI function, setting the font, anchors, and text alignment every time the user saves or chooses a new set.

You'll need to rename the folder inside the zip file to match the name of the manifest .txt file though. If the two don't match, then the addon won't be recognized as such by the game.

Also, the window is slightly small - the CP text overlaps on the divider on the bottom.
Thanks for the feedback! I just fixed the file naming issue and I'll take a look at the window.
