Votan's Settings Menu  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.5.9
by: votan [More]
DependenciesDescription
This add-on is for the add-ons themself.
It introduces the following to toggle directly to the add-on settings menu of LAM2:
  • main menu button
  • key-bind
  • slash-command (/addonsettings)
It remembers and opens the last used add-on settings page even after /reloadui or relog, if using the button or key-bind.
Assuming you want to change the settings of the add-on, opened last time, anyway and do not need to seek it again.
Inspired by the main menu button of FCO ItemSaver from Beartram. This is a generic version of it.

On the settings page of this add-on itself you can:
  • Turn on/off the main menu button
  • See the current Lua memory usage. The warning-symbol is shown at 4x start usage.
  • See the versions of libraries coming along with the add-ons you currently use. May a useful additional information, if you report bugs due to add-on conflicts. <= Done with built-in Addon Manager. More details with Votan's Addon List.
  • show client CPU architecture (x32 or x64) <= There is one only. (x64)

About the settings menu going blank that I mistakenly started commenting about on the wrong addon page...

I tried disabling everything but Votan's Settings Menu, Account Settings, Addon Selector, Votan's Keybinder, libAddonKeybinds, libAddonMenu-2.0, libCustomMenu, libDialog, and libMainMenu-2.0.
And only with those addons enabled, I can re-trigger the bug.
I'll see what I can do to make a short video tomorrow.

Edit: Just to doubly make sure, I disabled everything but Votan's Settings Menu, LibAddonMenu-2.0, and LibMainMenu-2.0. Still had the same issue.

Edit #2: Votan has fixed the issue as of Aug 27, 2023 in version 1.5.9.

Is there a way to list each addon's memory usage? I would help pinpoint troublesome addons.

I have the same issue that's visible in his screen grab. I can see the LUA memory usage and the nice elder scrolls logo, but it does not show the same screen as posted in the screen preview of the addon.

I'm pretty sure I used to have the + and - buttons to change the LUA memory usage but I don't have them anymore.

The only things I can click are the button for "Show Add-Ons Button in Main Menu" and the X Defaults button (which I have tried) I have also uninstalled the add-on and removed the saved variables, then reinstalled

Figuring there might be an invisible button i've tried clicking more or less everywhere on that screen to see if I can get past the ESO logo.

Am I missing something or have the + - adjust buttons been removed?
Yep. You are right. All the other things are obsolete. I update the screenshots.

Thanks for the links, votan. Used VSCode for the first time recently on a project written in nim and liked it as well.

Thanks again and cheers!

@Choco-Cooper: Thank You, Thank You
A donation is not necessary, really.

Hi vecny.samotar. This is again Notebooks and LAM rev.29. Like you reported in PotionMaker.
Did you update to Notebook 2018?
yes I updated it but the bug of the Notebook 2018 addon is using the Notebook 2018 addon and also the Notebooks addon from which the Notebook 2018 comes out and from which I will mention (I am sure that both addons should not be run at once)
1. Addon Notebooks does not show me text unless I have enabled Notebook 2018 addon
2. addon Notebook 2018 just like the author created me does not fit mainly from the reason of the three laptops merged into one. I have a different type of note in every laptop, as an example I would mention notebook number 2 where I have comments about addons (description and commands)

I would prefer if the Notebooks addon has been revived (maintenance would be enough), the only thing that the addon Notebooks is the one to one note the data cannot be large otherwise the text will be misunderstood
