So is it safe to say that this is DITW (Dead In The Water) now?

Update Needed!

This is an awesome AddOn, but it needs to be updated badly! I use it for recruitment and such and now because of the addon no longer functioning, getting peoples attention is harder for recruitment. Please update!!!!

I'm not the smartest addon author here or anything, but I couldn't find a way to make colored chat. I've tried manually pasting the codes, and it does nothing. The same goes for the mailbox, which is especially annoying, since I liked color-formatted text. I was looking through UI functions, but it looks like you probably just can't send colored text any more.

I feel like this is a bit draconian. They could have just implemented a stock color neutralizer in the social menu for people too lazy to download T's version, and the rest of us could still have colored chat.

Will be sorely missed if this is no longer supported indeed - this was the only add-on of its kind - and REALLY useful when used tastefully to do recruiting. Please - if anyone knows of a fix for this, it would sincerely be appreciated

Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

I can get the text in my chat typing window to colorize but I'm not seeing it in the chat window after sending it. Am "I" supposed to see my own coloring?

Also note that this line of chat text was combined with a "link to Chat" Item [Honing Stone] on the same line. Do I need to add more spaces between colored and default color? Or do i have to physically hit Default text color and then Colored text for each word to turn On/Off colored text on the line?

Also when trying to backspace move my cursor within the chat typing box the cursor locks at the start of each color change and has to be hit several times to move further. Is this because it is actually moving backwards over "invisible" colorizing text that actual counts as character movement?

If I change my default zone chat to be pink, then someone uses your addon to send <blue text><default text>, I will see <blue text><gold text>, not the <blue text><pink text> I should see. Conversely, if I send <blue text><default text>, they will see <blue text><pink text>, instead of the <blue text><gold text> they should see.

Explicit example:
I enter /say chat.
I type "Some text. "
I click a pink color on the color bar.
I type "Some pink text. "
I click the default color on the color bar.
I type "Some default text."

The following code is produced:
Some text. |cFF27EFSome pink text. |cFFFFFFSome default text.

Note the cFFFFFF string. This will change the output to be white, which is the default color for /say.

Now:
Change /say chat color to be 00FF00 in the settings menu.
Repeat the above steps.

The following code is produced:
Some text. |cFF27EFSome pink text. |c00FF00Some default text.

Note that the cFFFFFF string is now c00FF00, which looks great on my screen, but to anyone not using green for their /say color, it will look green anyways. Even if everyone is using default colors, if I change to guild, zone, yell, or group chat, it will remain the same color. So if I want to post the same thing in a different channel, I have to reset the entire thing, instead of just copy/pasting.

But there's a better way.

Produce this string instead:
Some text. |cFF27EFSome pink text. |rSome default text.

Now, everyone will always see <default color><pink><default color>, no matter what channel it's in, no matter what settings they're using, no matter where I copy/paste it from.

An example text I used to show how you can use color without being offensively gaudy:
|c99FF99My Guild Title|r is recruiting. Come get your |cD1A3FFepics|r and |cFFFF94legendaries|r today!

I can paste that string into any chat, and the only things without the default color are "My Guild Title", "epics", and "legendaries".

|cRRGGBB<Colored Text Here>|r<Normal Text Here>

Your method assumes that the user is using the default colors for all his chat channels, and that everyone else is also. My method allows the receiver's client to color the normal text however they see fit, regardless of custom settings.
My add-on doesn't use '|r' because it is not really needed for the way it is intended to be used. But it does color exactly with |c000000, it uses a function to convert the games floating point colors (0.0-1.0) into hex colors, in case that is what you wanted to know...

I'm not exactly sure what you are saying or trying to get at, mind explaining what you are trying to ask/suggest?

You could always try deleting the following file: Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\liveeu\SavedVariables\TsChatColorizer.lua

But really, I am not able to reproduce any problems you guys are having, there are over 3000 downloads and including every time I reinstall it on the two clients here at home, I have no issues.

Having some issues getting the colorizer to show up on my main character.

As the title says, Im having some issues getting the UI for the actual color boxes to show up under my chat on my main lvl 30 character. This is Casiroll, http://imgur.com/tfacSx4 showing the nonexistent UI for some reason, and this is Sugarpuffz http://imgur.com/R8hslBU the newest character I made that does show the UI.

Things I have done to troubleshoot:
-Reload the UI, several times
-Reinstalled the entire mod and put in the addon's folder
-downloaded the mod through minion client
-manually downloaded the direct file and dragged and dropped it into the designated addon folder

Please help, I would really really love to be able to use this mod on my main character.

-Love Casiroll

That is the "set to default" color. It is the chat zone color, so /say will be white, and /yell will be red and etc.

And as to you others, are you sure you are installing it into the correct eso version, there is a /live/ and /liveeu/ depending on what client version you are running.
