Application is Fast API ready

This addon will remind you to eat/drink your food buff.
And it is able to remind you to drink a potion.

It is able to do this by help of a customizable text(s) and/or an icon, combined with a possible sound alert!

Features
-Setup different texts for food / drinks / potions
-Setup the icon's texture, size and position for food & drinks, or potions
-Drag&Drop the icon with the left mouse button
-Hide the icon with the right mouse button
-Icon will be hidden if you eat/drink food buff / potion
-Icon will be shown if your food buff fades out / if your potion's buff fades out and your potions cooldown is gone
-Play sound alert (choose from > 600 different ingame sounds) as the warning appears
-Repeat the sound up to 10 times with a delay from 250ms to 10s
-Show the text/icon alert as you zone/reloadui
-Show a warning if your active food buff will expire soon (you can choose the minutes before expiration and the seconds to repeat the warning)
-Automatically switch to a food buff quickslot that you've chosen and after you've used your food buff switch back to the previous quickslot, or switch to a predefined quickslot (depending on your current situation)
-You can setup a timer which checks for your buff food every n seconds
-Setup the timer to only check for your food buff if you are:
In a PvP/PvE region
In a group/raid group
In a delve/a public dungeon/a group dungeon/a raid dungeon
Or all of the above mentioned.

-Automatically switch your quickslot to a pre-defined slot if your food buff is not active, the checkruns, and you are out of combat (will switch back to your previously active quickslot automatically if you enter combat)
-Differentiate the automatic quickslot switch between PvE and PvP (inside AvA region) areas
-Differenmtiate the automatic quickslot switch between normal quest areas, delves, public dungeons, group dungeons and raid dungeons
-Enable the automatic quickslot switch even if your food buff is active: This way you can let the addon switch your quickslots to a chosen one if you enter/leave combat, and again you can choose different slots for PvE and PvP.
-Choose the quickslot from a dropdown with your current quickslot's item name, item quality color, item count in [ ], item level so you do not have to open your quickslots and see which item is located in what slot and what is the item like

Example:
In PvP you could switch to a tripod if you enter combat and to a stamina potion if you leave combat (longer hiding/running)
In PvE you could switch to a food buff if you are out of combat, and to a magicka+crit potion if you enter combat

-Or let the addon remember the currently used quickslot if you enter combat and switch bck to this quickslot if you leave combat again

Yes, the potion sound alert (and food buff sound alert) is active all the time IF you have chosen a sound number > 1.
The sound number = 1 ["NONE"] turns it off.
So please move the slider to the far left to number 1 or enter 1 and press enter in the slider's field.
I'll currently not add a checkbox to disable it, sorry.

If I find more time (which I will spend to play the payed game then instead of coding addons for free) I might think about a system to setup the potion alert for different scenarios (openworld, delve, open dungeon, group dungeon, raid dungeon).
Or I could add a keybind to disable the sound and press it again to enable it with the last chosen sound.

I believe you fixed everything I had an issue with. The update before the last one (potion alarm) fixed the potion/food icon out of combat issue. And now that you added the potion alarm, this addon is about 100% awesome!!! I'm going to test the addon in VMA right quick to benchmark the new release

*UPDATE*
Looks like the potion sound alert needs the ability to be toggled on/off. For instance, I want the potion sound alert when I'm fighting bosses in raids, but not necessarily when I'm running through dungeons. Right now it looks like it's on at all times.

The sound alert is on my todo list but I have spare time at the moment so it could take some times, sorry.
Are you able to tell me what I need to do to check "the spotty notification icon" for the potion alert?
In what cases doesn#t it go away?
It should disappear if you are out of combat (and have turned on the setting to only show it inside combat) or if the addon recognizes a buff from a potion that is active at your character (like a magicka/stamina/health regen buff).

if you can assist me in finding a possible error I can fix it

This shouldn't happen. If you renew the active food the icon shouldn't appear at all.

This might happen if the food is not supported yet (new food from special events like the Halloween stuff)
and the addon thinks you have no active food.
Are you able to provide me the name of the food where this happens (active food name, new food that you consume with the active food) and the type of food (drink, food, regen, max health, max magicka, ...).

Or it is due to other active addons that you are using.
Please try the newest version and see if the error still exists. If not: Then it was due to the new food that I've added in the most current version.

If yes: Please disable all other addons and see if the error still occurs.
-> If yes: I need to dig in further and might contact you via PM how to exactly rebuild the error.
-> If no: Please enable all other addons "single one after another" (start with the ones that got to do with "buffs", like "Srendarr" or "Foundry Tactical Combat", "LUI", etc.) and see which addon is the problem!

Hi there. First off, GREAT addon. It's amazing. I'd love to see the ability to 'sound' an alert when your potion is up for use. For instance, for DPS on boss fights, it would help greatly to know I'm not forgetting my potion . The notification itself seems to be spotty and the icon sometimes doesn't go away. Also I notice that when I take food on my own (when I already have food but just want to rebuff it), it thinks it's out and sounds the alarm and such. Not sure if that's supposed to happen.

Hi Ayantir,

I think so, yes.
But I'm not sure what exactly the addon should do?

Remind the player to take a potion if:
-No potion buff effect (regeneration) is active
-And there is no potin cooldown
-Or just remind to take a potion as cooldown is not active?

This addon is not intended to check these buffs as well, no.

But you could try out "Srendarr" (http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info6...ffTracker.html) which is able to do so and fully customizable for your needs.

You are able to put this buff on a special buff bar and let it show up for you. You are able to move this bar on your screen and change the type of shown icon, text, size, etc.

If you only search something to show up for your Sorcerer skills you can also have a look at the great addon
"Sorcerer Helper" (http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info853-SorcererHelper.html).

I've just discovered this addon and it seems really nice. I have only one question: is there a way to check a toggled buff (e.g. Bound Armaments) besides the food?

This one should be fixed for all languages now as the texts to compare are taken from the buff ability IDs now.

If you're looking for something that stays out of your way until you want it to tell you, my own take on this -- OmNomNom -- could help. It's not as feature rich or clever as StarveStop, but it does the job in a pinch. It was basically designed to stay out of the way until it's needed.

Re: another minor issue

Sorry uladz, this would be too much effort to code.
The icon will be hidden if you open the menu and the icon was shown before.
As your mouse is in the cursor mode if you are insdie the menu just right click the icon to make it disappear please.

Maybe I'll have a look at the the quest giver and shop stuff so the icon won't flash above quest texts etc.
But don't expect it too soon

Lightbulb another minor issue

Another minor issue I noticed. When the eat or drink message appears while in menu or dialog or any other state where the food icon is suppose to be hidden then the icon will flash and then will stay ontop instead of hiding again. I would suggest to postpone the notification when in a menu/dialog the same way as you did with lockpicking if possible and show the notification as soon as you close a menu/dialog.

You are the second guy telling me this now hmm
I wasn't able to reproduce it so you might help me:

What screen resolution are you using? 1600x1200 etc.?
Are you using the food buff expired (starve) message text, or the icon, or both?
Did the starve message text appear during lockpicking?
Where exactly is the starve icon located as you are lockpicking? In the middle of the screen somewhere "above" the lock's mechanics?

I'll try to reproduce and fix it once you gave me the intel. Many tahnks!
