Overview

This addon tracks your sloted actions that have duration attributes or over time effects, reminds you to re-invoke your actions, and makes you good at performing rotations.

Features
  • Show current action duration remaining seconds in action bar,
  • Show a shift bar of swapped action hints above their original action bar position,
  • Auto move player resource bars upward when they are conflicted with shift bar,
  • Support actions without duration attribute but have DOT effects such as Desctructive Touch or other timed effect such as Elemental Drain,
  • Keep the ending 0.0 hints blinking for a little longer after duration finished, so they don't get lost easily,
  • Switch correspongding timer hints for current reticle over target,
  • Support actions stackable effect counting such as nightblade's Grim Focus and its morphs,
  • Append shift bar on top of ultimate button to show third ability bar such as overload bar action timer hints,
  • Override action duration with target debuff effect, e.g. change Beast Trap's 60s timeout to 6s timeout after triggered.

I had a look into this great add-on today, because purifying light counting twice (since summrset I believe) finally got on my nerves

Actually three bugs bothered me:
  • purifying light (templar, dawn's wrath skill line, morph of backlash) counting down from 6secs twice
  • burning embers (dragon night, ardent flame skill line, morph of searing strike) sometimes resets to 3secs
  • addon is outdated (both on life and pts)

Purifying light: was caused by the healing effect when the main effect ends and was already handled in the current code, but the skill-id seems to be wrong. Currently 68582 was used, but 68581 seems to be correct. I tested this on level 4 of the skill, maybe other levels have a different number?
Changed line 16 of src/adr/Core.lua to
PURIFYING_LIGHT_TICK = 68581, -- ignore purifying light healing after main duration
Burning embers: this seems to be caused by the burning effect (id = 18084). Ignoring burning seems to do the trick, however if have no idea if this has any effects on other skills (but nothing observed so far). Added the following lines to src/adr/Core.lua
Line 18:
BURNING = 18084, -- burning can trigger e.g. burning embers again
Line 185:
if effectAbilityId == SPECIAL_ABILITY_IDS.BURNING then return end
Outdated add-on: this seems to be caused by the list of api versions in the manifest file (ActionDurationReminder.txt):

After reading a bit in the eso-ui wiki, I think only two version numbers are supported at this point (not 100% sure about this). Changing this to
## APIVersion: 100023 100024
marks the add-on as current for both live and pts.

I tested a bit on live and pts and everything seems fine. I also tested around with other skills and classes (sorc, nightblade, templar, dragonnight) and many skills, but couldn’t find anything else so far.

Hope this helps a bit and I would love to see these changes go into an update.

The addon does not show effects shorter than 3 seconds by default. But you can change that in the settings.

Loving the addon. Post Summerset, Bound Armaments is no longer a toggle and has a 3 second duration when activated. If possible, could this be added as a timer. Currently, it doesn't show on the bar. I have not tested it yet, but I imagine this is also true for the magicka morph of the same skill Bound Aegis.

Thanks so much for this add-on! Definitely my number one most crucial add-on, when it comes to combat related stuff.

One thing I've been wishing I could tweak. With certain builds, you have to double bar skills (e.g. pets), but tend to only activate them on one bar. But after swapping bars, the "shift bar" setting in ADR won't show a countdown for that skill, if it also exists on the current bar. It would be awesome to be able to still show the timer in the shift bar, regardless of whether the skill is double barred.

Hmm i remember that my abilitys used to have a boarder around them, but only my skills on the shift bar have the boarder around them. I do not see any setting to enable it?

Literally my favorite must have addon right up there with combat metrics. This is the first add on I ALWAYS recommend to people wanting to perfect their rotation. One issue I have noticed however that I hope gets fixed is there are some abilities(not sure whats causing it) when I cast ele drain or engulfing flames on a target for example, the timer will go from like 20 seconds to zero in an instant, I think it has to do with other players casting the same abilitiy at the same time? not too sure but hopefully this can be fixed but otherwise great addon. Keep up the great work

sadly this is very bugged can't play a normal rotation without endless hail not beeing tracked, sometimes it works sometimes not. When you block cancel it especaily. This is since the patch 2-3 weeks ago. Please fix, I love this addon

The Circle of Protection skill from Fighters Guild skill line (and probably morphs, didn't try) don't have a timer even though it's a aoe so you can only have 1 active.

edit: Okay, so I morphed it to try. Ring of Preservation I (ID: 40169) was tracked. Now it leveled to II (ID: 42536) and it isn't tracked anymore.

Tried searching for all the .lua files and no hit for the one that worked so I assume they aren't listed anywhere. I'm not sure how the addon determines what is worthy of tracking and what isn't but it seems to be the same with S'rendarr as it doesn't track the aoe field placed by it either but tracked the one from the 1st version of the skill.
