To make it easier for everyone to keep up to date with the MiniMap I stop developing this patch version of the ZrMiniMap.
All changes from this version have been implemented in Aoon's Version. For further updates please download his version

I took Aoon's version and added a special Zoom for towns and dungeons which can be set with a slider in the settings. I also allowed to change the map size in 10 pixel steps instead fo 100 to make it more convenient to find the minimap size that you really want.
The map name is now inside the map. Looks better in my opinion when you move the minimap bottom right.

Credits also go to Zerorez for the basic version of the Minimap and to Aoon for fixing bugs and adding functionality.

To get the keybinds to work with other languages than english see the info in the Change Log.

Zoom keybinding works now also for town/dungeons. You can use the same keybinding for town/dungeons and the rest of the world.


Info to get keybindings to work for other languages:

After installing the addon and loading the addon in game go into the control settings and set your key binds After you have done that do the following:
in the file Addons/ZrMM/Bindings/bindings.xml there is the following line for the english version
<Layer name="General">
For a german client change it to
<Layer name="Allgemein">
For other languages I don't know the correct name but people might find out and post it in the comments section once they get it to run. You might find out yourself how it should be named if its not english or german.

After that change you won't see the control settings any more but since you set them before they now work in the german/other language version. Seems to be the only way to get them working until Zeromax fixes this weird behavior

Well, for those who have an issue with the zoom of this patch don't forget to translate "General" into your language and save your bindings.xml file into UTF-8 if you have accent like "Général" in french, otherwise it will not work

Would it be possible to get a lock-on option to this? So you could move the minimap where you want to and then lock it in it's place?

I guess that would be possible if someone took the time to do it. Aoon is adding lots of options in the settings. You might want to ask him in his comments if he can add more options.

Yes that is an issue that could probably be fixed. I don't think I will fix this soon. I'm not sure if Aoon might find the time and will to do that fix.

We implemented everything from my version into Aoon's. There are even new changes there. I encourage you to download Aoon's modified version. It's the one which will be kept up to date.

In the meantime I made a fix for the quest circles which never showed the real size like on the ingame map. It should be included in the next Version of Aoon's addon.

I'm not sure if this is possible, but it'd be nice if the edges of the map were locked to the edges of the minimap.
What I mean is that when you get close to the edge of a zone, your character arrow remains in the center, but the minimap shows a blank black field wherever the map/zone ends.
My idea would be that when you get close to a map edge, the character marker begins to move instead of the center of the map.

MiniMap Pins Scale

Is there any way to scale the map pins independently? I am running EsoHead Markers and am already using its lowest size setting 16 for all pins. But within the Mini-map the Harvest, chest, etc. pins are Huge compared to the Town, way points, etc (Original) pins. they block my ability to see the Mini-map! If I set the chests to Red all I see is a Red Square on my screen where the Mini-map should be 'lol' - very close to the truth but you get my point.

@s1ckn3ss That is a decent find. If I change it to Allgemein it works in the german version. But then it won't work in the english version. That is very weird and a problem since the only way I see to fix this is making two different versions.
/edit Seems I can't upload two versions of it. I added some information into the Change Log how to make it work for different languages. Thanks to s1ckn3ss for finding out.

It seems that bindings only work if the layer name in the bindings.xml has the language specific name.
For the english version <Layer name="General"> is fine, but in the german version it has to be <Layer name="Allgemein">, I guess it is the same problem in french.

Zoom keybind

I added some functionality to the keybind so that you can now also use it in town and dungeons to set that zoom level. For me keybinding in addons only works when I use the english version of the game. As soon as I change to german it won't work any more.
Anyone has an idea how to fix this?

We will definitely try to get everything into one version so that its easier for everyone to keep their addon up to date.
Aoon informed me that he plans to implement the changes I made into his version once he has the time for it.

@SkOODaT its basically that + some minor tweaks to the XML file for the placement of the zonename and the hiding of the zoom factor.

@pinmouse thats weird. I tried that today and for me its not working in his version and also not in mine. But once we get the stuff merged into Aoon's addon this shouldn't be an issue any more

Aoon's version has the zoom-in/zoom-out so you can bind them to keys. Would suggest you add that to yours. Then I'd definitely be interested.
