Urich's Skill Point Finder  Updated less than 3 days ago!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 4.0.3
by: fritzOSU03 [More]
Summerset Update
This update will wipe your settings. Unfortunately, this was necessary in order to implement cross-character support and account wide saved variables.

Description
Have you ever been in a situation where you need more skill points but you have no idea where to get them? Well today is your lucky day! Urich's Skill Point Finder provides a graphical interface showing all of the skill points you have (and haven't) earned throughout the entire game. You can show or hide the window by binding a hotkey or by entering the slash command. Slash command information is below.

Localization
Localization for German, French, and Japanese is included in version 4.0.0. I speak only English so I am very sorry if a translation is incorrect. My only available source was Google Translate. Please message me if you see a translation that can be improved or shortened where space is an issue. Also feel free to provide a complete translation for another language if you would like to see it added to a future update.

Slash Commands
  • /uspf - Show or hide the USPF window.
  • /uspf help - Display help information in the chat window.

Known Issues/Complications
  1. There was reportedly some issue in the past with public dungeon group boss events not properly awarding skill points upon completion. This may result in the USPF UI showing more skill points than you actually have. If this is the case for you, it means that you were shorted a skill point by the game.
  2. The Folium Discognitum is a scroll that awards two skill points on use. Because the Folium is a scroll and not a book, it is not possible to determine if if you have earned those points besides comparing the number of earned skill points with the number of expected skill points + 2. There is an override in the settings menu if this information is not correct for your character.
  3. There are skill points awarded upon completion of "Broken Bonds" and "The Mind Trap" for Morrowind and Summerset characters respectively. There are override options in the settings menu for these skill points if this information is not correct for your character.

If you have one of these races and put a point into the listed passive, it will be double counted.

Breton and High Elf - Gift of Magnus
Imperial and Redguard - Conditioning
Khajiit and Bosmer - Stealthy
I believe this bug seems to be back, though I'm not a 100 % sure if it's related to your add-on or Spent Skill Points.

I just wanted to drop a mention that LibAddonMenu-2.0 has a newer version available. Many thanks for the addon and the work is very much appreciated.

Thanks for looking into it.

Does your addon catch and release the mouse by any chance or use an invisible overlay that stays on top even after closing the window?

Sometimes when using the interface I get wrong mouse states afterwards (cursor not hiding when sprinting, can't attack or use skills and being unable to activate and deactivate cursor mode from shortcut). Also sometimes when moving the overview window it immediately disappears..like it's clickthrough.

Could be another addon causing this but it only happens when using USPF.

It's not that big of a problem, because I just /reloadui after looking at the list of dungeons I have yet to run. Very useful and worth the /reloadui.

Edit: Ah, just saw that it is related to http://www.esoui.com/portal.php?id=2...bug&bugid=2236

It seems that he/she had a corrupted saved variables file and they're all good now. As for Champion Point Respec (or another possibly another addon), the only thing I could find it has in common with USPF is they both have a combo box defined (although mine is locally defined inside of a local function). I'll mess around with it over the weekend and see if I can re-create the discrepancy. Thanks for the tip.

Deactivating Champion Point Respec for now gets rid of the error message.

Edit: I looked again. If it is not Champion Point Respec for you it might be another addon that uses incompatible elements from the LAM or another library.

Craglorn ZQ/SS Labels

Thanks. I'll include this little fix in the next update (hopefully today). Meanwhile for reference, lower has 12 skyshards and upper has six.

All skill points are accounted for. Buyer Beware, Reap What Is Sown, and Restore the Silvenar are all included in the Malabal Tor zone quest skill points.

Re: Re: Re: bug

I pushed an update for this a few minutes ago and it should be live shortly. I tested this thoroughly last night and could not get the cursor to bug out after implementing the change. It should be good to go.

Mostly fixed for me apart from a small detail. Now when you press the "X" button in the top right of the USPF window, the bug does not activate. However, say if you press the WASD keys or the ESC key etc. to exit USPF instead, the bug remains.
