Immaculate Construction
by Jesus Take The Heal

A quick note...
Immaculate Construction is in the process of merging into my Essential Housing Tools add-on. I plan to provide all future updates to Immaculate's functionality in Essential Housing Tools' Build tab, so if you have not checked it out already - please do!

Use Home furnishings to build a wide range of shapes with precision, including:
  • Multi-line Text (using Colovian Projection Crystals, Lights of Meridia or Replica Dreamshards)
  • Bridges
  • Stairs
  • Walls
  • Floors/Ceilings
  • Circles
  • Cylinders
  • Spirals
  • Arcs
  • Pyramids
  • Domes
  • Spheres
How does it work?

First, add furniture to your Project by either ...
  1. Right-clicking a stack of furnishings in your inventory
  2. Select "Construct with these X furnishings"
  3. Wait for the furniture to be placed in your home
Or by ...
  1. Targeting a stack of 1 or more of the same furniture item(s) in your home
  2. Press the keybind (configurable under Controls) to Add Targeted Furniture Stack
Then ...
  • Center the project on yourself, or center it on a targeted furnishing using the configurable keybind
  • Drag an item in the shape to move or reorient your shape
  • Use the window's options to make epic creations
Also ...
  • Optionally, you may add a second [, third, fourth, etc.] stack of a different item type to create alternating patterns; make sure that you add equal numbers of each item type to create consistent patterns

Highlights
  • Construction happens quickly and responds to your adjustments in real-time.
  • Made a mistake? Click "Undo" and the changes will be undone.
  • Like what you see? Click "Save" and the changes will be kept (with any excess items returned to your inventory).

Hey there! Thank you, first of all.

As for arranging books, both Immaculate Construction and now my Essential Housing Tools add-ons allow you to work with objects of different types in the same project. I actually just made a video of how to use Essential Housing Tools to fill a bookcase. You can check it out here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCyJXecOwgE

Let me know if you have any questions though!

This is an awesome addon

I just wonder if it could be used to assist in what is right now quite a time consuming task.

That is, when you buy a complete Book collection and then purchase from a vendor you need to insert each book into the bookcase one at a time.

So I was thinking maybe your addon could be used to simplify this task by choosing a number of books which then would be grouped as a block and could be inserted into whatever bookcase or similar.

The chosen number would need to be easily adjusted to fill the space of the destination (bookcase etc).

I realise each book is individual and your addon is designed to work with multiples of the same item but there is similarity I believe as all the books are part of a single collection.

What do you think?

Edit: typo

Can't click on fields?

Anyone have an issue where you can't type in any of the fields in the /imco window? (like Rotation [deg], etc) When I click on a field, it just goes back to mouselook mode.

Edit: Just reloaded UI and it fixed itself. /shrug

Thank you so much! Let us know if you have any questions about the add-on or how to construct any particular shapes/objects.

As for the building material suggestions, you can use just about anything really; but, my "staple" build items would include:
  • Stone blocks (a variety are available from many of the Home Goods vendors throughout Tamriel) and they are typically only 100 gold each, I believe.
  • Scavenged Plate, Wide and Scavenged Grating, Wide (from Clockwork City Home Goods vendor in Brass Fortress) for 500 gold each, I think.
  • A number of large granite rocks/boulders are available from the Home Goods vendor in Eastmarch (southwest part of the map I thiiink)

Omni! I just saw this picture -- that looks awesome!!! And it even looks blended in -- as though it were part of the original house. #epic

Good 'twerk :-P

Hi, I created a post on the forums, but I'm afraid mentioning isn't supported. Here's the link

I built a spiral staircase with this, even before you released the spiral option, by combining the circle tool of Immaculate Construction with the local move function of Homestead Engineer. Tried again with the version from yesterday and it was a blast! What took me half an hour could now be done in 2 minutes!
A real cool addition would be if you could group your creation after you saved it, so that you can move the whole structure freely. I use Furniture Grouper for now, but if that feature integrated, it would even be better!
Thank you so much for the feedback -- I am so glad the tool has been helpful for you!!! Also, I would love to see what you built -- is there any way you can post a picture on the forum and @ mention me or something similar? (if you don't mind sharing, of course!)

Also, it's funny you mentioned that suggestion about grouping furniture -- it must be an in-demand feature. Because of all of the requests, my next add-on I am planning to work on is going to be just that. Group up furniture, save the selection and then some tools to work with that group. Moving, Relocating to a different Home, and Cloning are the first few that I have planned. So stay tuned for that... :-P

Do you have a Paypal or donation page? If so I'd be happy to ship a month's worth of ESO+ your way.

As a side note, I'm not sure I understand how the center on target furniture function works, since from what I can see targeting with the keybind only works in Editing mode (F5) but building only works from your inventory. Doesn't matter too much since I intend to manually input exact coordinates anyways, but I'd be curious to know what I'm missing there.

Have a great day!
Ok, this just made my day. Comments like the ones that all of you guys & gals have been leaving -- that's honestly payment enough. I really just wanted to release this add-on for the community to help them create even more awesome stuff, so knowing that you've found it helpful is really all I need. <3

Also, thank you -- you actually just reminded me of a to-do I forgot to write down: changing the Keybinds to be consistent; specifically, to have them both functional in Editor Mode so it's not as confusing (because I totally see your point). Version 0.71 incoming with that update, just give me a minute...

( and also, thank you for the offer and thank you for going out of your way to set up an account for this -- means so much! please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions, ideas, suggestions, etc. )

- @Cardinal05
I'd set up a paypal for donations. Even if you don't need the money, just give it to your favourite charities or re-donate it to other addon devs.

It always seems to build from left to right in an upward direction. This wouldn't be so bad if all the pieces of the stairway were grouped together after building so it could be moved as one object.
Hi there! I am glad you reached out -- hopefully I can help.
I have improvements planned for the Stairs shape; but in the meantime, here is what you can do:

To change the orientation of your stairs, make either your X-, Z- or X- and Z-Length negative. For example, stairs running West up to East with an X-Length of "1000" can be changed to run from East up to West by using an X-Length of "-1000".

As for the origin, or starting point, I do plan to add a Checkbox/toggle to allow you to select whether the X, Y, and Z are the center or the origin for certain shapes (such as Stairs). Please check back for that -- along with the ability to rotate stairs around the center point -- in a future update.
Thanks for the reply. I managed to create a functional setup by creating smaller sections then used Furniture Grouper to position them. A bit of a kludge but it 'worked'.
