So here is my first addon. A little utility that will help guildmasters of pre-release guilds to automate invitations to the guild.

After installing the addon you have to open the "TreWaGuildImport.lua" file in a texteditor. In the first 4 lines you will find the following:
Lua Code:
  1. -- Variable to hold the guild list
  2. local TGIGuildList = {"@Account1", "@Account2",}
  3. -- Variable to hold the guild name
  4. local TGIGuildName = "MuhKuh"

Here you have to change the red values in the second line to hold the list of your guild instead of @account1 and @account2. And in the fourth line change MuhKuh with the name of your guild (This guild has to be created ingame manually).

After setting up the "TreWaGuildImport.lua" file and your guild. Start or reload the addon. It will then invite all accounts on the list above into your guild.

If you have more than one guild to invite to just repeat the above steps.

Possible Issue:
  • Wykkyd brought it to my attention that there might be a spam protection against to many guild invites sent at once. This is not yet mitigated since I couldn't test the addon ingame yet. So when testing this and it crashes, please include the number of invites you actually sent and you tried to send into the feedback.

Need to get some **** done before my vacation.

I will be offline for 3 weeks starting 5.5. I will try to get back to this after this I am hopefully able to pick this back up. I think I wil contact you and my guild on how to expand the addon.

Did you institute any kind of queueing or buffering to stop being knocked offline for "spamming"? Ran into this with my own app.
Do you know what the timelimit for invite spamming is?

Hey guys - the time limit should be around 5 to 8 minutes. The max members which is safe to auto-invite IS 10 - just tested with 12 and dropped me. Would you have the possibility to add this functionality to auto-invite every so and so minutes?

I would love to do it, and ideally I know what I should do, but obviously I lack your skills.

Further to that, I tried to find a way to automate the export of my guild's members so I don't have to write down each of their names. Was not successful
