    For Windows: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\<version>\
    For Mac: ~/Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/<version>/

(replace <version> with the client you're using - "live" or "liveeu")

  3. Extract the addon from downloaded zip file to the AddOns folder
  4. Log into the game, and in the character creation screen, you'll find the Addons menu.
    Enable your addons from there.

This addon uses the following libraries:
Thanks to:
ingeniousclown for his Research Assistant. It saved me lots of time to figure out how to work with traits.
Wobin for his Sous Chef. It saved me time to figure out how to parse provisioning recipes.
Seerah for LibAddonMenu. I can't imagine to create settings menu without this library.
zolan for his Zolan's Junk Handler. It was impulse to improve my Dustman.
Phidias for german localization.
Zuhligan for french localization.

reset settings after update

after i update to the last version of dustman all my configurations were lost. i never had any problem before like that on any previous versions. this is normal on this one? i had many years of items saved to go to junk, somehow it disappear on all my characters.

*EDIT*
I found a backup of my Dustman.lua and restarted the game with it with the latest Dustman version and as soon as the game started all settings were lost. I decided then to use an old version of Dustman and everything is working great again. -- my doubt now: will i be able to update Dustman in future versions without losing my settings and saved junk or should i just keep using this old version released before summerset?

Intricate Trait Gear

For some reason, I have an issue with Intricate gear always getting flagged as Junk.
I have "Exclude equipment with intricate trait" turned on.

I did a fresh install, deleting the Dustman addon directory and Dustman.lua in saved variables before doing the fresh install.

Not all treasure maps are bound. Why not just give those away to someone who does want them, if you have no desire to benefit from using or selling them? Destroying them takes them out of the game economy, which effectively lets Zenimax win.

Hey hey,

Love the addon. Was wondering if there was any chance an option could be added to auto-destroy treasure maps. I hate those things in my inventory

Kind regards,

Some jewelry gets

Hi,

i have v9.5 and run it without issues since ages.

I got all jewelry-settings on "off", yet still it does junk a white electron cp140 necklace. I can override it with manual unjunking but thats the only way i found.

I checked all jewelry-settings, they are all on off as i wanted no jewelry to get junked.
Also i checkt the traits-setting for override, there's no such override for traits.

Anything i miss or is this a bug?

edit: Aside from that white cp140 electron necklace, all other jewelry seems to be not junked, so until now its only this one necklace i could find to be junked - though i might have missed some while not looking when selling junk ofc.

OOops, my mistake! Will be fixed!

There are hundreds of specific settings in Dustman. Advising people to wipe out those hundreds of settings while providing no means of safely migrating them is a bit callous. It's not as simple as making a copy of the saved variables file and poring over it while attempting to redefine one's desired settings, since what is stored in the file doesn't obviously translate to what one sees in the Settings UI. For as much time as it took me to evolve the ideal Dustman settings for my needs, I am not confident that I can remember and replicate all the choices and reasoning that went into them over a span of months; a single wrong setting could prove disastrous, especially with regard to destruction or auto-sale of items. For myself I took over a dozen screenshots of the fully expanded Dustman settings and will use those screenshots to verify my desired settings as I redefine them, but that is a task that I will not remember fondly. It probably could have been avoided. If nothing else, a migratory "carbon copy" of all the settings could have been saved to a special section of the SavedVariables file, replicating line by line in the same order the exact text as seen in the UI with the user choices selected, for people scroll through and directly compare while redefining the settings from scratch.
In 90% of cases the addon would probably work the same without the reset, the fact is that I changed where variables are saved, so they probably would be replicated in other part of the files, resulting in a long saved file. Also, when I tested that, I got some little errors because I got duplicated values of the same setting. So, to the final user I adviced to reset everything. It's not a big deal for a single time.
Yes, It could have been avoided maybe, but hey, it's not my job and I have things to do in real life as well (like exams at university) . I'm maintaining this addon just for fun, I'm a novice in lua and I'm trying to bring the features requested by users here in the comments. So, I don't think that if you have to reset one time your saved variables is this big deal (and you solved easily with screenshots).
