Key mapping question

One question: The mapping of add-on key assignment to quickslot position seems odd to me. It seems like the numbering starts at the southeast position and moves counter-clockwise. So, if I program a key to QS1, it activates the southeast slot. My QS2 key activates the east slot, QS3 = NE, QS4 = N, QS5 = NW, QS6 = W, QS7 = SW, QS8 =...
