There is no way for addons to save something directly to the disk. This is to prevent bots, where some addon saves relevant data to disk (e.g. "low health") and the bot then performs some action depending on the saved information (e.g. "heal"). The only way to save data is to logout or to reload the ui via /reloadui.

Thanks Mortlach. @livinlifejb I think Mortlach missed a space between Scrolls\ and Online. It should probably be: chmod u+x /Users//Documents/Elder\ Scrolls\ Online/live/AddOns/HarvestMap/DownloadNewData.command but I can't test/verify it since I don't have a mac computer.
