I'm definitely NOT a coder, so this may not be possible, but would there be a way to add import / export buttons to the addon settings that will allow the user to either manually (or automatically) select to import the latest merged file on demand, and export (and auto-merge) the user's current file? I'm thinking that will help 1)...
