Scroll down to the settings where you specify which chat channel (/zone, /group, etc.) is connected to which chat tab (your chat tab Chat, Group, Private messages, etc.).
There are checkboxes above each chat channel section which allows you to enable/disable the chat tab changes for the given chat channel.

There is no char difference settings except if you have disabled the account wide settings and configured different settings for each of your characters on purpose?
You are able to disable the change to specific chat channels, like /zone, in the settings. But...

One of my chars, my Zone tab is there, but it doesn't auto change to it even if someone writes (all the time)... the other char, I've made excatly the same config but it is changing to zone tab all the time... that's pretty annoying... I have another one: I changed the settings so that it would change to group tab when I'm grouped, but that's not happening.. everytime I'm in a group, I have to change to group tab manually...
It is only changing to the group Tab if someone writes there, and if you are not activate in another Tab writing by yourself.

Hi there, addon is great, but... I added keybindings for chat tabs, but when I switch them with the keys, my chat stays in "say" and doesn't change to "G1, G2..." so I have to type "/g1" in order to start chatting in that channel, and I don't wanna type those "/" commands... how do I proceed?
