I bet it's either one of these "over all UI change addons" like BanditsUI etc. or any chat related one (preferably older chat addons, not updated recently).

As you said your self you are using a lot of addons.
Did you do what was written in the "please read before.." and disabled ALL other addons and libraries and tried if it works fine with all of them, except pchat and needed libraries, disabled? Is it working then as expected?

I use "bug eater" to convert error messages to chat entries... so in my case, this same error spams my chat log with every "step" I take. Sounds like the issue is directly related to this addons refresh/redraw mechanism.
The issue should be resolved now. Thanks for letting me know kclobo :)

If I understood you correctly, this sounds much like what the in-game Collections UI does already, so I'm not sure if it's required? However, I did add an option to the right-click menus in the Collections UI so you can save/remove favourites directly from the Collections.

Updated without version change; should be fixed now. That entire section of options for showing loot in chat is new, and it looks like I forgot to add the setting toggle function for that one. Thanks for the report.

Thank you for the new option to save sets!
small bug with the new option is that gear sets always save with "CP" selected, even though it's not.
So in my example, if save a favorite with level 10 (non-CP) Light Julianos set with Training... it defaults to "CP10" in the saved description, and loads with CP selected.
