Thanks for all your work on this great mod! Great work Arterion, sure hope this solves the issues! Sure would explain why it's been so hard to narrow this down and why when enabling or disabling other mods have an effect. Doing /reloadui must somehow reset the mod, so that it seems normal again till we zone. I disabled Quest Ma...

Re: Re: Re: Stuttering

After you close the wayshrine interface MiniMap redraws the contents of the map this is a delayed process. If there is a brief micro-stutter just like after toggling MiniMap that's by design. If its continuous it might be something else. Edit: Could you comment the line 4940 --FyrMM.RegisterUpdates() and see if there is still th...

Just did some tests regarding the mod here. I have used this since forever it seems and no issues with it till this last update. I have tested with mate playing eso first time as well and using limited mods for him to include this and we are both getting millisecond hitches when running about with destinations mod on. Nope, nothing wrong with map & MiniMap updates, I went to Bal Foyen docks, entered Smuggler's tunel countelss times with and without additional add-ons. everything checks. square/wheel/rotation modes. I simply can't reproduce that. Very strange.. most of my friend could reproduce the error. PS: I use the german client.. could thi...

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Pin size scale % not working

Direct settings edit for pin settings is /script FyrMM.SV.PinScale = 100 -- this will make pins appear 1:1 to main map size. After this command just do /reloadui Oh, thanks! I'll try that one out right away. It won't work, I found a typo in my Settings.lua :), will update it with the fix an publish today.

Perhaps this helps: I had not installed every version, so I can not say exactly but I remember: the first version for the new API (MiniMap 2.69) had NOT this error the last 2 versions (2.76 / 2.77) HAVE this error so somewhere betweeen this versions should be the reason. PS: I use MiniMap since more than a year and I never ha...

Did you do all these tests without any other add-ons enabled? yes, of course! Only MiniMap no other addons for the tests try the situaion with the tunnel and you will see (sometimes you need to leave the tunel 2 o 3 times but the error appears only during using MiniMap) I'll check this tonight.

There is an option in performance settings WorldMap refresh if you set it off it will still do map refresh callbacks but not as often as it would do with this option enabled. If you have MapFix installed try disabling it and see if that solves your problem. WorldMap refresh is on I use your "standard" settings the saved variable...

Posted By: Fyrakin
This is ridiculous, MiniMap pulls the custom pin data (Skyshards, Lorebooks, Lost treasures, etc.) from the ESO map to display pins - it doesn't alter Map's contents in any way, if you see pins updated on MiniMap then you should see that on the main map. Edit: Do you have WorldMap refresh setting enabled when this happens? I ne...

This seems to have helped me also, as a MiniMap user. So my guess is from reading your posts this means I've got a mod which is most likely causing the issue. The only World Map effecting mods I can think of atm are the most common MiniMap, Destinations, Quest Map, Harvest Map, Lore Books and Sky Shards. The less common are Dungeon L...

I have noticed something similar. After changing the zone (leaving a dungeon) the original map do not update anymore Minimap updates but the ESO map updates no more. I can manualy choose the new map then it works. Without MiniMap the ESO Map updates as it should be one other thing: SkyShards do not not update in MiniMap. (in ES...

Re: Stuttering
Posted By: Fyrakin
I did some testing using MSI Afterburner to display frame render times. Unlike FPS, frame render times will expose micro-second delays like stutters. ESO is multi-threaded, but unfortunately the rendering pipeline will hang a frame entirely waiting on UI code to execute. (I don't know why games can't use a proper compositor!) I fo...

Re: Re: Re: Pin size scale % not working
Posted By: Fyrakin
Pin scaling works, but you don't see immediate results, you just have to refresh MiniMap or do a /reloadui after setting new pin scaling. On a side note, pin size is is rounded down to an even number to avoid pin jumping when map scrolls. So, if you set you pin size to 20 on Harvestmap an set pin scaling to 75% you will get 15 which...

Thanks again for your work on this great mod ! I'm willing to try almost anything to get this working! ;) So trying to delete the saved variables file, which now makes me ask another question. Re: Pin size scale % not working
Posted By: Fyrakin
Hello, Figured I should put this out there, since I wasn't sure if it was just on my end, or if it's an actual problem with Minimap. I seem to be unable to adjust the minimap's pin size scale percentage, as no matter what I set it to, whether it be 80% or 150%, none of the pins on the minimap change from their current tiny size. For...

Downloaded 2.76. Cleared SavedVariables (had become 60Kb somehow ...). Working perfect now! Really? That would be why it has FPS drops? o_O It might be easier then to just delete miinimap.lua from the SavedVars than to see if there could be a new feature to remove the bloat (obsolete) data from minimap's saved variables file....

Snowman, Thanks for the heads up. I tried downloading the beta version of the other program that updates your addons, but that turned into 90 minutes of pure frustration. You know you can manually install and update add-on. Have you tried that before? Its no rocket science to do that :).

the minimap isn't calibrated quite correctly for me. is there something i can do about that on my end? Thanks again for all your work on this great mod ! :) Do we need to delete the saved variable file, since the latest patch (8/31/15) or are we safe to keep it? I'd prefer not to delete it but will if you think any of the performance issue might be caused from it. Thanks Saved settings are safe to keep. I am removing some se...
