As well you should. Those square brackets where you have them are not proper Lua syntax. When you see them like that in API docs, it means that argument is optional (as it says it is optional in the description of that function)....

You don't have to turn it on. So long as it is installed correctly, it will display. The modules should be unlocked and at the center of your screen, waiting for you to move them wherever you want them.

It's not showing up for me either. ZAM Stats shows up fine, but neither Quests or Exp do.
Edit: Figured it out. Had to rename the folder to "ZAM_StatsQuests" (same for the Exp addon) - it unzipped as "ZAMStatsQuests-1.0" which wasn't being recognized (there were no subfolders in that).
Hmm... So I see. I will get that fixed up to...
