Need French/German/other Writ info...

I am working on a multi-national update for Master Recipe List and needed some specific info about Provisioning crafting writs, since there doesn't appear to be a way beyond that they are generally crafting quests to get information about specific types by game functions alone.

I am not looking for a translation, but rather what the game itself calls these quests. It MUST be what the game calls them, NOT a custom translation, to work.

For example, on the English client the text for the Provisioning Writ repeat quests is:

Provisioner Writ

If anyone could log in and accept a writ, I would very much appreciate that text.

When you need the french/german string of something, you can use an addon language switcher

Or just type one of the commands :

Lua Code:
  1. /script SetCVar("Language.2", "en")
  2. /script SetCVar("Language.2", "fr")
  3. /script SetCVar("Language.2", "de")

Also looking for German and French translations of the following text:
  1. Elder Scrolls Online
  2. Master Recipe List
  3. Clear active search list.
  4. Tracking 4 recipes.
  5. Food Recipes
  6. Drink Recipes
  7. Stats
  8. Regen

Also, I need the German and French in-game equivalent for the provisioning sub-categories for food and drink. These need to be what the game itself shows. In English they are:

Food:
  • Meat Dishes
  • Fruit Dishes
  • Vegetable Dishes
  • Savories
  • Ragout
  • Entremet
  • Gourmet

Drink:
  • Alcoholic Drinks
  • Tea
  • Tonics
  • Liquers
  • Tinctures
  • Cordial Teas
  • Distillates

OMG you saint!

Very helpful tip, thanks for that!

FYI: The SetCVar to another language changes the majority of global strings but there are some items and behaviors that require you to stop the game and switch language from the launcher.

Find your german translations inline below.
The ones I did not translate seem to be names for me (like Elder Scrolls Online and Master Recipe List) and mustn't be translated.

I you really want to translate Master Recipe List you could use:
Meister Rezeptliste
or
Haupt Rezeptliste

But I'd stay with your addon name :)

I assmued "Tracking 4 recipes" is meant to be "Tracking for recipes"?
"Regen" = "Regeneration"?

Cheers
Baertram

  1. Elder Scrolls Online
  2. Master Recipe List
  3. Leere aktive Suchliste
  4. Spüre Rezepte auf
  5. Lebensmittel Rezepte
  6. Getränke Rezepte
  7. Werte
  8. Regeneration

Thanks! I will work these in once I have finalized everything...

Once the latest version of ESO Master Recipe List is approved, it would be great if anyone could take a look at the working drafts of the full language files and see if there's anything I might make corrections to. :)

Here is what I still need in French and German. (Baertram may have already done some of these in German.)
  1. "Search for recipe name."
  2. "Provisioner writ."
  3. "Clear active search list."
  4. "Tracking."
  5. "Close Recipe List."
  6. "Find Writ Requirements."
  7. "On active tracking list."
  8. "Needed for current writ."
  9. "Makes level five food."
  10. "Makes Veteran 5 drink."
  11. "Known recipe."
  12. "Unknown recipe."
  13. "Unknown recipe, tracking."
  14. "Needed for writ, tracking."

German translations:

Maybe I translated the "tracking" wrong. I'm not sure where and when these sentences with "tracking" apply?
I translated them with something like "detect" or "sniff".

Tracking applies to recipes you do not know, but have toggled to be "tracked" which means that there will be an extra line in their tooltip telling you they are on your tracking or "watch list." ;)

Baertram 04/28/15 05:56 PM

Ok, then I need to update the translations:
  1. "Nach Rezeptnamen suchen"
  2. "Versorger Schrieb"
  3. "Leere aktive Suchliste"
  4. "Wird beobachtet"
  5. "Schließe Rezeptliste"
  6. "Finde Schrieb Bestandteile"
  7. "Auf der aktuellen Beobachtungsliste"
  8. "Für aktuellen Schrieb benötigt"
  9. "Ergibt Level 5 Essen"

  12. "Unbekanntes Rezept"
  13. "Unbekanntes Rezept, wird beobachtet"
  14. "Für Schrieb benötigt, wird beobachtet"

"All recipes NOT set to tracking and lower than the quality limit set below will be PERMANENTLY destroyed!"

"Color quality protection:"

"Recipes of this color quality level and higher will not be set to junk or deleted, regardless of other settings."

These items have changed and require re-translation (sorry!). Some might also be new:
