Drive mix-up?
So, my Win10 has four drives - C, D, E and F (C and F being 2 parts of SSD, but that's irrelevant). Most of my games are installed on E drive, including ESO and the Minion client itself.
Before moving to Minion 3 everything was fine, but then I have noticed an annoyance: every time I use it, i get a separate "Users" folder pop up on E drive, with a "dolby" folder inside containing a ".minion" folder with a singular log. I delete it afterwards, but it keeps coming back. Couldn't the logging be done inside the client's folder instead? It shouldn't use the drive's root! |
Can you attach the minion.log file you are getting on the E drive?
All configuration, logging, etc is stored inside the .minion folder which minion is supposed to use the default user directory. Sounds like it may not be for one of the files? The log should tell us where it 'thinks' home is and might give me a clue on whats going on. |

I have found more logs! But the ".minion" folder back on C drive is actually a shortcut, and the logs are from Minion 2 somehow.

Looks like for some reason the minion.log path is being set when I create a Minion release so its using the home directory path used on my VM's for minion.log on every ones install, it should be using the OS's home path for the user that installed Minion. How fun :o ! We are working on a fix for this now. Thanks for taking the time to report this!
The minion logs with numbers are old logs from the 2.x version. |
Yeah, I have noticed they are from the previous version.
Well, I'm glad to help!.. and sorry for the trouble. Hope the fix wouldn't take long! - - - Wow, it's out already?! Thank you very much! |
