LibAddonMenu-2.0

1 Attachment(s)
I have released LibAddonMenu-2.0. Thanks to those of you who helped test it, found some bugs to squash, and offered some suggestions! Please let me know if you find or think of anything else.

I have written up a guide for LAM2 which...
  • lists the differences between LAM1 and LAM2
  • walks you through using LAM2 for the first time
  • offers some ways a power-user can use the library
  • provides some notes to remember when using the library
  • lists the methods available for use in the library

You can find this guide as a dedicated page on my portal: http://www.esoui.com/portal.php?&id=5&pageid=10

I have also uploaded it as a PDF to this post, in case you want to take it away from the forums/site with you.

LAM2 may be downloaded from the LibAddonMenu download page: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info7-LibAddonMenu.html

Added:

If you allow LAM to handle the creation of your controls and would like to know when they have been created (when the panel is shown for the first time), then you can register for the "LAM-PanelControlsCreated" callback.

Please note:

If you have already updated your addon's settings panel to LAM2, but are using a version earlier than r6, please update your copy of the lib in the addon. This will avoid duplicate LAM entries in the game's Settings menu. (This bug does not occur in revisions 6+.)

----------

I would also like to thank you all, especially Garkin, for helping to find and stamp out the last round of bugs. Some I should have thought of, and I apologize for that. Others appear when various people start using the library and get their hands into it. Thanks again!

LAM2 should be a whole lot more stable from here on out! :)

I was a bit late to adopt and was frustrated with the need to go and convert all my different add-ons to v2.0, but damn, LibAddonMenu-2.0 is a beautiful piece of work.

Great job, Seerah. I appreciate your hard work!

Thanks! Hope you felt it was worth it! :)
