Addons folder does not exist

I know there are threads on here that keep saying in Docs/eso./live....

I installed ESO on my D: drive with steam so none of the folders people keep saying are there are actually there.

I have no Documents folder on my D: drive, I have no addon folder anywhere.

Is there a way to create one for the game to find so I can use an addon?

Thanks

Did you actually check the C drive?

Just check your documents folder for your windows user, either if on d or x drive.

Create the folders yourself if needed:

C:\users\Windows user name\documents\The Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns

I have done this and it does not work. Is there any config file within the <Drive>\Software\Steam\SteamApps\common\Zenimax Online path that we can alter to point to the Documents folder to have the game search for the AddOns folder?

Are you using Windows 10? Try C:\Users\*user*\OneDrive\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online

I wrote a small batch script a while ago which is supposed to open the correct live folder. Haven't tested it with onedrive users yet though. Maybe you can give it a try and see if it sends you to the correct folder?
You can download it here.

Ahh, yes... This worked. Thank you for this! I had it on Windows 10 before and the folder wasn't under OneDrive, but I recently Reformatted and saw there was a copy under OneDrive. I did indeed have the old AddOn files there, but they weren't appearing in the 'Add-Ons' section in game, even when I checked the "Allow Out of Date Add-Ons". I replaced them with the new copies and voila, they appear.

Glad you found it. I also had problems finding my add-on folder on my new gaming laptop as I also have a dual 128 GB SSD and 1 TB mechanical hard drive. I am also on Steam and I finally found the folder on the C drive after I played once it didn't appear until I had started the game once, since I loaded the game on the larger D drive I mistakenly thought it would be there and it wasn't on the C drive under Documents Folder until I had started the game the first time.
