Detecting the correct addon in the wild is a bit difficult and we are working on improving this. Its actually a much larger problem on the WoW side of things.
However if Minion installs the AddOn it will remember the correct one (unless you delete your minion.xml, that file holds all the addon detection associations and if its deleted will force Minion to re-detect everything and it may not be 100% correct). So I'd suggest deleting the AddOn in question and re-installing the AddOn using Minion.
