Potion maker can do quite the same thing. Maybe not that effective but good anyway.
You just click on search (or choose solvent you want to use and click on search) craft a few unknown pots (prefered pots with 2 traits because you need to craft less pots then).
If you crafted about 10 different pots you close the window and click search again - by doing this your unlocked trait-using pots are listed behind the locked traits - means you just craft now unknown pots. Repeat this until you got all just craft some pots close window and search again...
