Well yes:
Go to Orisinium Mage Guild (inside).
When inside, open the world map while moving (otherwise it would close)
Watch your step and the player pin.
Or install my mini map, which just makes it easier to see it.
/edit: Switch to walk, not run. You have more time until hitting something
