If I understand correctly, I think you're looking for the ingame passives listed under the crafting skill trees, called Keen Eye. They will highlight the crafting nodes in the world when you invest, making them very easy to spot from a distance.
There is also the addon HarvestMap that provides 3d icons above nodes in the world, so you can see them without investing in Keen Eye.
